Pitt vs. New Mexico tickets going for 1.99 on Stub hub
It would be more expensive to attend Westmont vs. Cambria Heights this week. My guess is they draw 30,000 for that game. Families just cannot afford that 8 dollars it takes to get in when there are so many other things going on in Pittsburgh plus groceries to buy. They make a choice. Kraft Easy-Mac or a Pitt tickets. Sadly,Kraft Easy-Mac wins out

Or the fact that while tickets are more than reasonable, you will drop $8-$40 just to park... And if its closer to $8 you are walking a ways... In the city. And spending $8.75 for a burger and $4.75 for soda. So you are in $50 if you are local and $100 or more if you aren't with the gas investment ; a family of 4 is out a minimum $200.

Pitt sold a lot of season tickets, and those people didn't buy them to see New Mexico and Old Dominion. Pitt has a great home schedule this year, there are two teams on the schedule that nobody cares about. I'm a season ticket holder, I have a wedding that day and don't plan to attend the game. I will probably end up giving my tickets away. So what? Kirk, your starting to get into El-Moldo territory with topics like this.

Sorry, but as much flack as Penn State takes on this board from Moldy and Titan I don't think making a topic about 1.99 tickets is a big deal. That is unreal.
I would love to know how much Eagle's family eats. 180+ for food? Wow.

$ 60.00 to see Eastern Michigan. You get 10" of a bleacher seat in the upper deck of the end zone.
What a deal!

Isn't EMU one of those tickets that's ATTACHED to another game???. You know, you gotta see them play if you want to see a BIGGER game.
Re: Pitt vs. New Mexico tickets going for 1.99 on Stub hub
Whether or not Penn State is selling out their their stadium, there is still a high demand for tickets. If you don't believe me, try to find 4 tickets together for the Michigan game. The difference between the fanbases is that many penn state fans go to the games for the experience and not so much football. Am I excited to see a good game Saturday, no. But I am looking forward to tailgating with many old friends and family, chatting and catching up with the people we sit around every year, walking around campus and downtown with my fiancé (we met at PSU), and so on. Pitt won't be able to offer this sharing a stadium miles away from their campus.

5+9=14 per person for burger and drink at field x4 people = $52 +$50gas+ $40 park+ $8 for4 tix. Leaves ya at 150... Ya leave 2-3 hours before the game 3-4 hours at field and 2 hours home... You are stopping on way home to eat something so add that to $150 what do you get? B1G 10,11,12,14 math?

EagleAlum. I think you have a reading comprehension problem. Tickets are 1.99 yet you conveniently to tell your story marked them up to 8 dollars. Also, I have never in my life paid 40 dollars to park at any sporting event let alone Pitt. Did you park in Art Rooney's spot? The whole point of this post is 1.99 for tickets is unreal. I know you might not leave Tyrone very often other than for a Tyrone away game, but you are going to spend money on the other things regardless. Pitt isn't the only place in the country you need to purchase gas, parking, and food at the game.
Moldy will have a post next week stating Penn State only had 95k at the game this week. Tickets for that game are starting at 34.99. Pitt will have 35k for most games with tickets starting at 1.99 or free with the purchase of a six inch MTO at Sheetz

Re: Pitt vs. New Mexico tickets going for 1.99 on Stub hub
I said family of 4, $1.99 x 4 =$7.96(I rounded 4 cents up) excuse me. I was there Monday , and the 5-7 closest lots are $40 which I didn't pay, you can find lots under rt279 and 376 on the other side of the river for $8-15. But remember I said family of 4.... Are you walking a couple miles with younger kids through the city????? Twice (you have to return afterwards) .... My reading comprehension is fine. And no I don't leave Tyrone very often, so that $50 on gas would do me 2 weeks. The original point was while $1.99 for tix seems wild it still costs more than that and with the economy the way it is most people can't afford it... If you are in the smaller percentage, I'm happy for you. But maybe you ought to get out of the culdesack and see how bad it is. Yes PSU will have 70-90000 for eastern mich. but I'll bet half are locals that had the tix given to them.... Free is less than 1.99.... Btw if you buy tickets on stubhub you also pay a fee and taxes and delivery charge.... I didn't originally include those
