Shake-up (for a week anyways) in D-5A standings
After 7 weeks the seeds would have went to #1 Berlin, #2 Northern Bedford County, #3Tussey Mountain #4 Meyersdale, # 5 or 6?? to North Star or Windber...
But last night...BB drops from 1 to 3, NBC drops from 2 to 4, TM elevates from 3 to 1, Mey leaps from 4 to 2.....would have to wait for 5 and 6 tiebreaker stuff for NS and W and there will be a 7 in Shade...
Don't get too comfortable with the new order of TM, MEY, BB and NB as..it could revert back to the top statement IF Berlin beats Windber, NB takes 2 from Williamsburg and Bradford and TM faces two 7-1 teams (loses to MU but beats Mey).....MEY at 8-2 could be 4th if the other 3 get to 8 wins..... notice the BIG 'IF' for all five crucial outcomes to follow.

5A is crazy right now for sure and anything can happen.
1. TM Has the toughest remaining schedule as they face Mt Union who is rolling right now and Meyersdale who has to like their chances after last night's huge win. TM controls their destiny to be #1 seed.
2. Berlin says wait a minute...this loss may have no bearing on our seeding.... Why? They picked up AA Westinghouse as a replacement game. If they win out vs them and Windber they are ahead of Meyersdale.
3. Meyersdale faces a tough TM team in week 10. That is huge for seeding.
4. NBC has no cake walk as they face a good Willisburg team and then they have to make a 4 hour trip to play AAA Bradford.
5. North Star should end up 7-3.
6. Windber will be an underdog against Berlin so 6-4 looks like their end result.
7. Shade gets their 4th win and makes it. Glad they didn't miss out because of no Rockwood week 10.

Playing oddsmaker...
1. Berlin (9-1) fav over Westinghouse by 10??? And Fav by 10 over Win.
2. NBC favored by less than 10 in each game though) (8-2)
3. TM underdog at MU by 3, fav at Mey by 1 (8-2)
4. Mey fav by 14 over shade and 1 pt dog to TM (8-2)
5. NS favored pretty big to go 7-3
6. Win big fav this week but a 10 pt dog to Berlin week 10

Throwing Shade in the mix means 3 QF games will be hosted by #'s 2,3,4 while #1 will host a semi...The SF between the 2/7 winner and 3/6 winner will be at a neutral field right??
If TM doesn't keep the 1 spot, NB gets to 8 wins, and both are able to hold off the 6 and 7 seeds from the West Pac at home,possible backyard brawl SF will need to find a home, weekend of Nov 15-16.
Is there land or time to build a stadium somewhere between the Riddlesburg and Hopewell bridges?...
again lots and lots of things could change all this over the next 28/29 days.

Even if they play a quarterfinal game...the semis are also at the home field of the higher seed.
