Homer-Center @ Portage

Post by HSFootball88 »

Huge game coming up on Friday, the winner should get the 1 seed barring as long as Bellwood loses to Richland. I think it deserves it's own thread.

I believe homer has #1 seed wrapped up even with a loss with power points. Could be wrong through

Looking at the current District 6 rankings:

1. HC Average points: 138.9 Total points: 1250
2. BA Average points: 130 Total points: 1170
3. Portage Average points: 128.75 Total points: 1030

If BA loses, and Portage beats HC, they will receive 190 points alone for the win plus 10 points for wins by teams they beat. I think they could take the 1 seed with a win.

H-C definitely does not have the #1 seed wrapped up. Portage would have a better average than H-C with a win.

Hc gets that same 10 points. It'll be interesting. Portage will be rooting for winner hard I imagine, 10 points can decide a lot.

Don't forget Portage is dividing by only 9 games and the other teams by 10. Anything close on actual power points gives an advantage to Portage.

Having had the opportunity to see both of these teams play in the regular season, I would put HC a step and a half ahead of Portage. It will definitely be a slugfest. Will take HC by 12.
