HERITAGE WEEK 1

Post by HSfan »

With a 56-5 forecast record last year makes the last 4 years 194 and 33.
Last year's team record is in ( ).

Marion Center (2-8) 20
United (0-10) 13

The Stingers were 2 and 8 last year and outscored 2 to 1 (266-133). But, the Lions were 0 and 10 and outscored 6 to 1 (388 to 64).

2 Mismatch Games of the Week
Blairsville (6-5) 42
Westinghouse (1-9) 20

The Bobcats need to improve their run defense after allowing 220 y/gm last year. On offense QB Scott Thompson needs to improve on TD(8) vs int(11).

Purchase Line (5-5) 37
Saltsburg (2-8) 14

The Red Dragons should continue to run the pigskin where they had 266 y/gm, but only 36 y/gm passing last year. The Trojans need to up their passing game to have any chance of winning this year.

Flip-a-coin Game of the Week
Ligonier Valley (6-5) 28
Northern Cambria (5-5) 27

The Rams have 49 players on their roster with 19 Fr, 16 So, 5 Jr and 9 Sr. This should be a very good team and maybe their best ever in a year or two. The Colts have Frank Paronish returning as head coach. They have a size advantage here and should gain yardage on the ground.

Game of the Week
Homer-Center (12-2) 28
Penns Manor (9-2) 14

Both of these teams lost a lot of very good players. But, with QB L Kowalski gone from the Comets and QB A Berezansky and RB's E Lee and M McAdoo all back for the Wildcats this should make the difference.

All games Friday at 7pm
