Winners vs. Losers

Post by Roadie »

Winners vs. Losers

When a winner makes a mistake, he says, “I was wrong;”
When a loser makes a mistake, he says, “It wasn’t my fault.”

A winner works harder than a loser and has more time;
A loser is always “too busy” to do what is necessary.

A winner goes through a problem;
A loser goes around it, and never gets past it.

A winner makes commitments;
A loser makes promises.

A winner says, “I’m good, but not as good as I ought to be;”
A loser says, “I’m not as bad as a lot of other people.”

A winner listens;
A loser just waits until it’s his turn to talk.

A winner respects those who are superior to him and tries to learn something from them;
A loser resents those who are superior to him and tries to find chinks in their armor.

A winner feels responsible for more than his job;
A loser says, “I only work here.”

A winner says, “There ought to be a better way to do it;”
A loser says, “That’s the way it’s always been done here.”

I do want to point out that I found this on the internet, I didn't write it. It said "anonymous" so I'm not sure who wrote it but I think it's awesome and thought this would be the place for it.

Very nice piece!!!
Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.

This is another version that was posted by voncap in the basketball forum for those of you who don't read anything in that forum...

A WINNER is always a part of the answer,
A Loser is always a part of the problem.

A WINNER says "There ought to be a better way,"
A Loser says "It's always been done that way."

A WINNER says, "Let me do it for you,"
A Loser says, "That's not my job."

A WINNER says, "It may be difficult , but it's possible,"
A Loser says, "It may be possible, but it's too difficult."

A WINNER sees an answer for every problem,
A Loser sees a problem with every answer.

A WINNER always has a program,
A Loser always has an excuse.
