Trying Something New

Post by El-Moldo »

...Penn State has announced that for the first time, ALL full-time PSU students will receive free admission for non-conference men's basketball home games played in the BJC next season. Pat Chambers stated that "the Nittany Nation is an integral part of gameday. Their energy and enthusiasm greatly affects the atmosphere in the Bryce Jordon Center, and it is our hope that free admission will open the doors to even more fans so we can cultivate a true home court advantage".

And increase concession sales. Prices will go up. You know, the "Get 'em in the door" philosophy.
It ain't over until it's over.

Me thinks that Sandy Barbour can see the handwriting on the wall. Let's face it, PSU wrestling starts around November 15th, and PSU men's hockey starts around mid-October. Theses have become increasingly popular over the last few years. Men's B-Ball will probably be the last of the 3 choices for viewing fall/winter sports. Like Manfred said, maybe PSU can at least get more in concession sales, unless it's Dollar Dog Night.
