Re: HERITAGE WEEK 11
Just to throw out a possible problem. I have been told by a school board member and also a parent of a player that the teachers at PM are taking a vote to start a strike this "FRIDAY". If they strike, I understand the coaches (who are union members and teachers) cannot coach the game. Now the parent said the coaches told the players no matter what happens, THEY WILL BE AT THE GAME. There also seems to be some talk about a school rule. If there is no school, there are no extra curricular activities. If I hear more I will post it. I thinks its a very nice gesture for the teachers to USE THE STUDENTS AGAINST THE SCHOOL BOARD!!!!!!!!!

Re: HERITAGE WEEK 11
The vote was a tie with some teachers saying they would cross the picket line. So no strike this week. But, another vote next week.

Re: HERITAGE WEEK 11
When pm ligonier played I heard a couple pm people saying they were going to get turf for their field in the next few years. It was just people talking, but if it's true, maybe the administration should worry about paying their teachers instead of spending money on a turf field. I guess my point is maybe we shouldn't be so quick to judge when we don't know the whole story... Unless maybe you do...Blueandwhitefan wrote:Just to throw out a possible problem. Re: HERITAGE WEEK 11
Strike or no strike they will still have coaches. Packer's brother is on the staff and he has no affiliation with the school other than football. Also the no school no activities refers to cancellations not scheduled days off at school. Guess no one will be available to play the D6 championships Thanksgiving weekend.

Not a rumor. My post were directly from some school board members. And told to me. Not he said she said. But, All the coaches said they were crossing the picket line. As far as artificial turf goes. THAT is a rumor. Or a fantasy of some parents.
