After building a 14 point lead Pitt held on for a 9 point victory. With Duke and Mississippi State losing this week, Pitt is inching closer to a #1 seed. They should be ranked #3 in both polls this week.

ranked 3 is as high as they are gettin. st joes and stanford both look as tho they wont be losing til sometime in late march both w/ quality wins on saturday. pitt at providence should prove as a very tough game for the panthers. also winning the big east tourney is a must if pitt wants a guarunteed 1 seed in the dance.

If the Panthers play the way they did in morgantown, they are not going to stay high in the ranks for long. There is no way that WVU should be able to stay that close to the #3 ranked team in the nation.

West Virgina has been playing very well lately. It is a huge rivalry game. It was a sellout hostile crowd. Pitt continually finds a way to win. They are 6 points shy of being undefeated.
What did you think of Mississippi State's loss to Alabama. The bulldogs were #4 and loss to the Tide at home. There is no way that the #4 team in the country should have lost to Alabama...right?
Pitt is going to make believers out of all of you naysayers!
