Basketball Camps

Does anyone know of any good summer basketball camps or clinics within a two-hour radius of Bedford?

I know the Morgan Wooten Camp has two or three summer sessions down in Frostburg. Anybody familiar with it?

foggy, Dick Devenzio runs a national point guard college that comes to Shippensburg this summer. It is supposed to be tremendous. I am getting pamphlets in the mail everyday. I will try to get some to you or Little Nicky can see me.

I have heard the Devenzio camp is a very good one. I think they spend sometime in a classroom style place and work on the mental parts of a PG and then on the court ofcourse.

Point Guard College i hear is one of the best camps around! It makes team leaders and great players even better by helping with the mental part of basketball.

If anyone is really interested in The National Point Gaurd Camp but you would like to get a little more background information ask Katie Henderson or Sarah Hocker they both attended it this past summer.

If interested, check with Travis Eisentrout's dad. Mr. Eisentrout told me Travis is working at Michigan, Born-2-Run Pittsburgh, Morgan Wooten / Frostburg State U, California U /PA, Dave Roman's Shooting Camp/Johnstown, and Penn State U. Travis' dad feels Born-2-Run is best for the younger player, while 5 STAR/Pittsburgh is more for the advanced hooper.

When selecting a camp, make sure you are selecting for the right reasons. If you are looking to improve your skills, I suggest a specific camp instead of a college's camp. Many camps held at colleges consist of a few drills in the morning then games in the afternoon and evening. If you want to play games, go to the playground, if you want to improve skills, go to a specific skills camp.

I have heard great things about the Point Guard College, Morgan Wooten's Camp, and the Dave Roman Shooting Camp. These camps offer some specific instruction instead of just common drills that you could get from your local grade school coach.

Be careful that you are not misled. If you think you are going to 5-Star to be recruited by college coaches, that is highly unlikely unless you received a personal invitation. There are several weeks at 5-Star, but only one where the college coaches are in attendance. For the most part, that camp is restricted to players with D1 ability.

Cakes22 born 2 run is a horrible camp. You didnt get any better by going there!!
