i think it all comes down to which g. tech shows up. they have looked horrible one day, and unbeatable the next. uconn on the other hand is a very consistant team. my heart is with g. tech, but money is on uconn.

duke showed uconn a few things that they didnt do too well against the dukies that they will need against ga. tech. uconn played bad perimeter defense against duke. they let guys drive and were not in good position while defending the dribble. uconn is capable of good defense on the perimeter, and i think will focus on this against ga tech who possesses a very strong backcourt. uconn also did not take care of the ball. this was mainly b/c of duke's pressure. ga tech will put the same type of pressure on uconn. taliek brown will need to refocus on taking care of the ball after his 7 TO game against duke. he is a senior and should be ready for the task in his final game.

luke schenscher is the real reason that ga tech has made it this far. he has altered shots and got rebounds and gave the jackets an offensive option on the inside. schenscher is only one man though while uconn has 4 quality big guys who can manage the 7'1" center. schenscher is big but not all that physical. i think if he ends up guarding okafor, okafor can get good position on the block on offfense and also keep schenscher off the glass with his strength.

ga tech wouldnt be in the title game if they werent capable of beating uconn. this should be an exciting game as long as the refs allow it to be. uconn was picked the preseason #1 by many people and will live up to the expectations on monday nite.

I'll have to stay with the Big East on this one. Georgia Tech soundly defeated UConn in the Preseason NIT and if that isn't motivation enough--then the possibility of winning the National Championship should be. National Basketball focus on UConn usually goes to Ben Gordon or Emeka Okafor--but tonight I call PG Talik Brown having an excellent game for UConn. One the other side, an up-and-down-again Georgia Tech team that is capable of nothing one day and everything the next will have to come out firing on all cylinders. I think if they take the game in 4 minute segments--they have a great chance at winning. They have to stop Okafor and limit the outside shot. Jarrett Jack, Taron Downey, and Luke Schenscher will all play big roles in today's game. Muhammad will have a throwdown to remember--but that will be Georgia Tech's brightest memory--because they are going to lose this one. I take UConn by 2 on a last second shot by Rashad Anderson.

im taking g. tech. uconn had their national championship moment with the comeback over duke, i have a feeling they are gonna come out flat and not be able to catch up.

I think Connecticut will win this one. I believe they are just too much for Georgia Tech. I think Georgia Tech has had a great tournament. I actually belive they've been playing better than they really are, and it will show tonight. Okafor will be too much for Schenscher. As long as Gordon can stay hot from the outside, UConn will take this one. I'm going with Connecticut by 5.

This is gonna be a close game but i think Okafor will get the best of the BIG AUSSI down low and pull out a 5 pt win.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a delaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.

Impossible is nothing.

Georgia Tech did beat UConn by 17 points earlier in the year in the Preseason NIT. They held Okafor to 9 points or somethin close to that. If they can do that again, they'll definately pull out the victory. What do you think the chances of them doing that again is? I'd say not very good. One thing in Tech's favor about that game was Schenscher only had 2 points. He should score more than that this game. Although, I think Okafor will contain him pretty well.
