Pat Tillman Media Coverage
What do you think about the media coverage of Tillman's death? There's been some controversy over it because some people contend he's being made more of a hero than other guys and gals who have been killed or wounded but who weren't famous. Tillman, of course, based on his own desire for anonymity, probably wouldn't be pleased with it all. Still, I think it's a great story and deserves respectful coverage.

ESPN moved Sports Center to the Deuce so they could cover the Tillman memorial service. Good decision, and a very moving service. Hope some people got a chance to see it.

it was very moving. Had to fight off some tears. THe only important thing is to remember everybody in the armed services are heroes. The thing with Tillman was he was an NFL player(always in the spotlight). So his death and service make for a lot of media coverage. He wouldnt' have wanted all the attention but it was very moving.

Things can be covered too much....
Kobe's trial for example. I get SICK of hearing about it and change the channel. I hope they don't do that with someone's death. Over covering something turns out bad. Just a day about it would have been fine for NATIONAL coverage. When you overdo one death it makes the others seem insignificant and that isn't what Tillman or any other fallen soldier would have wanted in my opinion.
