French Open

Post by foghorn »

I've been trying to watch the French Open but it's been difficult to keep interested. I love to watch tennis on television, but there's really nothing very compelling about many of the players. They're doing their best to sell it on TV, but without a dominant personality, it's pretty hard.

Tennis needs a Tiger Woods type of player to come along, especially since Agassi is in his decline. The Williams sisters just don't cut it for me. I long for the days of Connors, Borg, Johnny Mac, even Chrissy and Martina. Maybe I'm just getting too old.

all tennis needs is Anna. IF she wins a tourney, it would turn tennis upside down.

I agree with Old School. Put Anna on a tennis circuit of her own. Even some sort of an amateur set up. People would certainly watch it. Make it a half hour weekly show. Where she goes on the road to small towns across the US and hosts local tennis tournaments. The final would include her against whoever won out on the local side.
