Way to go, Joe!!!
Welcome back, Lavon!!!!
Love that depth chart justice.
Lavon Chisley returns to football team
Wednesday, June 09, 2004
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Junior defensive end Lavon Chisley has been reinstated to the Penn State football team.
Chisley, a starter in 9 of 12 games last season, had been barred from spring practice while the university conducted an investigation into an alleged sexual assault on campus.
The fates of junior defensive end Matt Rice and sophomore defensive tackle Ed Johnson are still to be determined. They are suspended for their roles in an on-campus fight at an ice rink in February.
...and WHAT PRINCIPLES PSU has for giving the boys a second chance...Read on:
"The university was making a statement," Paterno said Monday in a speech to boosters in the Lehigh Valley. "It said that a coach who loses nine games is worth bringing back. At a lot of schools, there would be pressure to get rid of a coach like that. This school has certain principles, standards and beliefs. For the university to come out at this time and do that, it made a pretty strong statement."
Kind of makes me want to cry...It'll be especially a happy day when the other two perpetrators are welcomed back onto the team next month.

Yeah this makes it look like JoePA has lost some control of the program to me. Before WHEN they were good, he would suspend you for games and not think twice about it because he had depth, now he can't do that or they will lose every game. Every program has problems but not big bad PSU that is why this is funny!!!!!
