What girls basketball teams will go far this year?

I know bedford has 7 letter winners back plus more, i think bedford will do good they have the talent and the athletes to do it...i know that they went far last year and lost the play off game. But they are lookin for a strong win this year....

Anyone else have any comments about other teams?

Everett has about 3 or 4 latter winners this year and also lost their playoff game last year. I think they'll be gettin some success in their season and maybe another shot @ playoffs.

It is almost a given that Bedford should have the BEST girls team in the area. You were good last year and lost NOBODY!! There is no reason why you shouldn't have one the best seasons in the history of the program. No as for the other teams.... Everett did lose some, but not alot. You should do well. NBC is still building and should improve from the disastrous season they had last year. Tussey will again be tough to beat, (especially in that dark whole you call a gym. Ridge lost leadership. The returning memebers of the team need to step it up and dig deep to return the the playoffs. Can't wait to see all that I can this year. Good luck to all of the girls in Bedford County.

Id have to Say CV has one of the better girls teams this year, Last year teams were able to stop sam pollino, I see her putting up numbers similar to her freshman year when she averaged close to 30 if not 30 or more per game.... shes vertually unstoppable in westpac.... her true first test will be hilltopper classic and with westmont girls always plagued with injuries early in the season, she should have a big game, hopefully putting CV past the hilltoppers, Jtown, Penns Manor or whoever they may play...

Even though noone has relied to this topic in almost a month im gonna try to get things goin again because practice for us(bedford) starts in 2 weeks. In the area im gonna be biased here and say that Bedford will def. have the strongest girls basketball team. We didnt loss anyone so we wont have to spend the first 2 weeks of practice readjusting to the new players we can jump right into things. Another thing that will help us this year is the fact that teams we had a little trouble with last year lost the seniors that gave us problems so we can possibly add a few more wins to the record this year. Our first game is with Everett @ BHS for teh tip off tourny. I think that if the posts stop cessna underneath and get boards then we will do fine.

I agree with you that the Bedford girls’ team will be tough this year. You will definitely be ahead of the game, having not lost any players. Your team consists of some pretty aggressive girls with a lot of speed and drive, which gel together very nicely. You also possess some height and power to control the boards. At the Summit this summer, I’ve seen you girls play your hearts out and never give up, no matter what the competition, and I respect that from any team. As far as the rest of the area, I think the other county schools have unfortunately lost a lot of team members due to graduation, injuries, coaching issues, attitude, or just simply lack of interest. However, there are many promising freshmen moving up to the JV and Varsity level for these teams. With hard work and motivation, I think these girls will gain the experience and prove to make a difference over the next few years. Good luck to all the area teams in the upcoming season.
