No it is just a good measuring stick to a mid/ave. team in the Big East. Wait and see what the Mountaineers do to the old Eagles later in the year. Good Game Lions, you suck and I knew it!! keep getting smacked and use excuses like you always do. Piss Poor Lions. Go EERS 2-0

I'll still back them....

They played a terrible game and BC played a bad game too. It was an ugly, ugly game and PSU made too many mental mistakes.

2. They couldn't stop the run, and they couldn't run. IF they don't fix this, it is going to be no more than 6 wins in '04

well having not one but TWO rouging the kicker calls on the same drive didnt help PSU out much either...the bs part about it is the first guy got blocked into the kicker and the second time, the kicker actually kicked the guy from PSU and fell over...terrible rule in my opinion but i cant change it so i guess we'll have to live w/ it...and good luck with that BCS bid this year wood, im sure ur EEEEEERs will earn it

psu has played their best and worst games of the season in the first 2 weeks. psu looked good against what is now for sure a true scrub team, akron who lost to mid. tenn. st. this past saturday. psu came back to earth against an underated boston college team who will challenge wvu for the top spot in the big east. the game exposed some of psu's weaknesses which they can now work to improve in practice.

in the bc game, everything went wrong from the start for psu and never got any better. the first drive gave the eagles the confidence they needed and it was pretty much over from there. psu's defense played good enuff to win if the offense could have done something. what it comes down to on offense is that psu couldnt run the ball consistenly or complete a long pass down field. i credit these factors to the eagles' excellent front 7 defenders, austin scott's irresponsibility, and psu's lack of a deep threat wide reciever.

psu will recover. they have now been shown to not be any threat to the big ten championship, but that doesnt mean they cant finsih with 7 wins. ucf, wisc, nw, indiana, and mich. st are all good chances for a win. and if they can take 1 of 4 from the tuff combination of purdue, ohio st., iowa, and minnesota, they will have 7 wins. the team just needs to regroup from a tuff loss and move on.
