Week 10 Predictions
Games all week, so let's get busy. I have a 6 game lead over my opponent, and the wings hang in the balance. Here's the scores:
TAE (387-161)
DB (381-167)
ON TO THE SHOW:
===================
Tuesday November 2nd, 2004:
===================
Toledo vs. Miami Ohio:
- Well, Toledo has finally started to get their act together and slowly start to live up to the hype they had in the preseason. Toledo lost to Minnesota 63-14 in Week 1, and then turned around to get murdered by the helpless Jayhawks 63-21. Any time you lose to Kansas by 42 points, you are generally considered a team of vegetables. But I digress, Bruce Gradowski has 2400 yards passing, and the mighty Toleders are 6-2. Frankie is gonna give me hell for picking against Miami Ohio and his secret-crush Michael Larkin, but I gotta take Toledo, despite the fact that they wear some of the worst uniforms in the country.
===================
Wednesday November 3rd, 2004:
===================
South Florida vs. UAB:
- Bald Bull is very excited at the chance to go up against UAB, as he has been touring Turkey with his friend Soda Popinski for the past 6 days, all in an effort to gather support for the struggling Bulls. What he doesn't know, is that Darrell Hackney is the biggest quarterback to ever exist, and swats away linebacker blitzes like a giant goalie made of bricks and steel and machine-gun turrets. Give me the Dragon Wagon in a close one.
===================
Thursday November 4th, 2004:
===================
Louisville vs. Memphis:
- Memphis is very near the top of the list of "most disappointing team of the season" and expect that to be even further widened when Robert McCune shows Dontrell Williams his 60 inch biceps. This will be even uglier than you can imagine. Louisville by 86.
===================
Friday November 5th, 2004:
===================
Marshall vs. Akron:
- Marshall, the best team in the MAC, is only 5-3 on the season. Finally, they are starting to show why this will be a memorable one for the Herd nation, as they are primed to win the conference on their way out the door. Akron on the other hand, is one of the worst teams in America. Earl Charles will still be scoring touchdowns at this time next week.
North Texas vs. LA Lafayette:
- Unfortunately I will not be attendance for the televised game featuring my school and a very quality opponent like LA Lafayette. UNT will win the Sun Belt again this year, which is about the equivalent of being the guy who broke the pinata at someone's birthday party: all cool at first, but then you realize it was a waste of time and you got nothing out of it. UNT by 35, and if I was Patrick Cobbs I'd consider going pro, because Jamario Thomas is destroying people.

Re: Week 10 Predictions
Your lead has shrunk to six, TAE.. Be prepared..
Here we go..
===================
Tuesday November 2nd, 2004:
===================
Toledo vs. Miami Ohio:
- Toledo Shmoledo.. Miami Ohio is about to reach deep into their pocket and pull out a sharp knife or something.. which will be used to gut the Toledos and slash their hopes and dreams
===================
Wednesday November 3rd, 2004:
===================
South Florida vs. UAB:
- Hackney is a freakin battle tank.. Armed with a Cannon for one arm and a sledge hammer for the other (did anyone see that stiffarm the other week?) Not to mention, UAB has that SWEET dragon logo. Bald Bull, this is a tough time for you, we know.. But the only chance you have against someone is they duck too early and you wack them with the bull charge. Not likely here, pal. UAB
===================
Thursday November 4th, 2004:
===================
Louisville vs. Memphis:
- Petrino Supremo!
===================
Friday November 5th, 2004:
===================
Marshall vs. Akron:
- Ladies and Gentlemen.. The star of our show.. His name is MARSHALL! because A) they have sweet all greens (although those unis probably wont be in action this week) and they're playing a team named the Zips
North Texas vs. LA Lafayette:
- Had USL not changed their name, this would be a toss up. But for their ignorance and for my heart going out to TAE and his North Texas group of hybrid battle machines, this one's gonna get ugly

=======================
Saturday November 6th, 2004:
=======================
Duke vs. Florida State:
- FSU needs a good rebound game, and they get it here against the only ACC doormat. I seriously hope Wyatt Sexton's parents named him "Wyatt" after Wyatt Earp, knowing their son would be a gunslinger in the pocket.
Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina:
- You know the story. Team A upsets Superforce B and then turns around and gets obliterated the next week. I am very impressed with Tech this season, and like I said before, it's because they are not crazy-overhyped like they were in the Big East. Virginia Tech by 28.
Ohio State vs. Michigan State:
- Stanton is out this week with a shoulder injury. This game is at MSU, and I do not have enough faith in the Ohio State offense to win this game. Sorry Tressel, you know I love ya, but I gotta go with the team who is hot.
Georgia Tech vs. NC State:
- Tough, tough call. NC State always seems to let me down, and they win when I pick them to lose. Chuck Amato will definitely be wearing his sunglasses at night, and he had this to say: "Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no." Give me NC State.
Pittsburgh vs. Syracuse:
- These picks are getting very tough because it's late season and teams are fighting for their lives in these conference games. Man, I don't know. It's at the Carrier Dome, Pitt's defense isn't very good, and Syracuse seems to be playing as well as they should be, at least. I'm going to put Palko to the test this week. Show me why you deserved my award last week for excellent leadership. Give me the Cuse by 14.
Northwestern vs. Penn State:
- As pathetic as it is, Penn State can't win another game on that schedule, at this point. I'm going to say that they start trailing off even on defense, and Northwestern is a quality team that will take advantage of it. Give me the Wildcats by 21.
Georgia vs. Kentucky:
- UK is yUcKy. Dey baaad. Trust me. Georgia by 30.
Kansas State vs. Missouri:
- Missouri is one of those teams that you can't predict. They definitely just got blasted in the chest by Nebraska, though. These teams are real even on paper, and this game will have big implications on who plays in the Big 12 championship. It's hard to say that Uncle Bill can't pull this out, as K State, as much as I hate to say it, is a team that plays well when you don't want them to. I gotta take the Wildcats on the road.
Arkansas vs. South Carolina:
- South Carolina is another team that refuses to die when they are near death. All black uni's at home is always a big bait for me, but give me the Razorbacks in a thriller.
Temple vs. West Virginia:
- WVU, of course, but not as bad as you'd expect. 28-10, Washington will have over 200 passing for the Owls. Speaking of him, check out this article. Washington Article
Western Michigan vs. Bowling Green:
- Team Craptastic travels to Bowling Green and finds out what it's like to see all orange uni's and feel sadness.
Air Force vs. Army:
- Tough call. Air Farce sucks, and Army has shown signs of life this season. Give me Air Force in what will be a poor excuse of college football.
Kent State vs. Buffalo:
- When Hummingbirds attack, seek shelter. Last week the Flashes pecked my eyes out when I stupidly took Ohio over them. Buffalo's offense is second only to Penn State's. Give me the Flashes by 6.
Colorado vs. Kansas:
- Rece Davis will be throwing out "Fighting Manginos" all afternoon, as the helpless Jayhawks avenge last week's epic loss to Iowa State by turning around and losing by 600 to the Colorado Buffalos.
Nebraska vs. Iowa State:
- I'm half tempted to take Iowa State. You know what? Expect the upset. Iowa State is playing better than they should be, and Nebraska is the worst team on earth. Iowa State will either beat Nebraska or else make it too close for comfort. But I'm taking the Huskers.
Florida vs. Vanderbilt:
- Very upset with the Gators, but they'll get a win in Cashville. I hope Cutler throws for 400 yards, though.
Indiana vs. Illinois:
- Hoosiers keep rolling, and they'll roll over Penn State too.
Baylor vs. Texas Tech:
- Baylor is playing better than they should be, and I think they are playing too good for their own good. This could be an upset, a close call, or a very enormous blowout. Cumbie is the man, has 3200 through the air, and they'll pick up another win here.
Cincinnati vs. Southern Mississippi:
- What is up with this late season surge of the Bearcats? I have a crush on Southern Miss, and I'm taking them again. I cannot buy into this crap about Cincinnati yet.
Fresno State vs. Rice:
- I saw Rice live, they are god-awful, despite the fact they average 315 a game on the ground.
San Diego State vs. BYU:
- Very disappointed in the Dark Side Defense. Give me BYU by 23.
Tulsa vs. SMU:
- Tulsa. I don't even care to think of anything to write.
Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M:
- I was set to pick the Aggies, but you don't lose to Baylor in OT, fellas. Gotta stick with the Sooners, unfortunately.
Minnesota vs. Wisconsin:
- Official 2004 TAE Queensryche "Decline is Right on Time" Award winners the Minnesota Gophers look to rebound against the Badgers, and find out they lose again by 90 points. Paula Cole needs to write a song called "Where Have all the Rushing Yards Gone".
Oregon vs. California:
- Another big day for Aaron Rodgers.
Notre Dame vs. Tennessee:
- Huge potential upset, but give me the oranges in Knoxville.
Maryland vs. Virginia:
- UVA was exposed by FSU, are they back on track? Is Maryland back on track finally? Very tough call in this one. I'm gonna take UVA.
Purdue vs. Iowa:
- Kyle "Scott Norton" Orton does the job yet again, this time to the Iowa Hawkeyes. I don't care if he's not playing, he still sucks.
Rutgers vs. Boston College:
- No upset here. BC wins again.
Washington State vs. UCLA:
- UCLA is putting together a nice bowl season, and they'll win this one.
Arizona vs. Washington:
- The Battle of the Havenots 2004, live from the trash-heap in Davidsville, Pa. Give me the Huskies.
Florida Atlantic vs. Troy:
- FAU definitely only has one loss, and here's number two. When you take on a team with helmets as nice as Troy, can you even expect to win? I didn't think so.
Ohio vs. Central Florida:
- Winless knights play host to Todd Koening and the Crap Corps. Koening is carried away victorious.
Central Michigan vs. Eastern Michigan
- Live from the septic tank: The 2004 Battle for the Sewer Boot. Give me EMU in a "classic".
Arkansas State vs. Idaho:
- The Vandals have shown some signs of life this season, but the Rattlesnakes are bitin' and fightin' all over Moscow. ASU by 4.
East Carolina vs. Houston:
- I know that ECU is the worst program in the country and I refuse to pick them.
Stanford vs. Arizona State:
- Andrew Walter, you're the biggest loser in the world, but I'm taking you in this one. Also, I hate your guts, you loser.
Mississippi State vs. Alabama:
- Bama is doing okay without Brodie Croyle, and they'll clean up the Bulldogs in this one.
Oklahoma State vs. Texas:
- This is a VERY tough call. OSU almost beat OU, and the QB and RB at OU are better than those at UT. However, Texas is somehow playing okay this year, not great, but better than last season. I'll stick with my Cowboys. OSU by 6.
Wyoming vs. UNLV:
- I almost went to school at UNLV, I didn't, and I went to Wyoming instead. I didn't go to Wyoming, but they'll get another win here.
Navy vs. Tulane:
- This is the third week straight I typed this for the Navy game: "Navy gets another win over a very quality opponent". When is this crap going to stop?
Utah State vs. UL Monroe:
- Monroe. Why does the Sun Belt exist?
Clemson vs. Miami:
- Miami gets back on track.
Middle Tennessee State vs. New Mexico State:
- The Middle Tenners and Abe Kmetz are once again riding the choo-choo of triumph down the streets of Murfreesboro.
San Jose State vs. Nevada:
- Sad day when you have to pick the Wolfpack.
Colorado State vs. Utah:
- No upset here. Utah huge. That's how a caveman analyst would call this game: "UTAH HUUUUUGE!"
USC vs. Oregon State:
- Another tune up for the championship.
Lousiana Tech vs. Hawaii:
- Saw this game live last year, Hawaii won. This year, La Tech has too man weapons on offense. Timmy, you're my favorite, but you have no answer for Ryan Moats.
TAE (387-161)
DB (381-167)

=======================
Saturday November 6th, 2004:
=======================
Duke vs. Florida State:
- When Dolan played NCAA 2004, Duke always gave him trouble. Bowden scoffs at the notion that the Blue Devils (who have some of the nicest home unis in College football) have any shot of being within 40 points when the final gun sounds
Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina:
- Duran and Scott played the games of their lives last week, helping UNC put up over 500 yards on the U's Defense.. While they're still on the brink of bowl eligibility, a game against tech wont help. Vtech is a very solid team, and will demonstrate so on saturday
Ohio State vs. Michigan State:
- Michigan State has been BALLIN people as of late, and their all greens are SOOO BEAUTIFUL.. Injuries are thrown out the window as their radiant deep green helmets, pants, and jerseys blind the OSU offense AND defense
Georgia Tech vs. NC State:
- How good is the ACC? Seriously.. this conference is the absolute cream of the crop. TA be rushin silly over GA Tilly. NCSTate
Pittsburgh vs. Syracuse:
- If this game was at Pittsburgh I'd seriously give it to them, but homefield advantage will come in to play as the 'Cuse goes CWAAZY in the dome. Syracizzle by a dizzle
Northwestern vs. Penn State:
- Northwestern beat OSU, who in turn roughed up the Lions.. Me being a "Head to Head Guy" (to quote that idiot from notre dame-- how bout it TAE), the only logical choice here is to pick Northwestern. HOWEVER.. I will be in attendance for this one, and PSU is UNDEFEATED when C.Debiceps is in happy valley. PSU by 3
Georgia vs. Kentucky:
- KrapTucky lost to Sly Croom and his Miss St miracle workers last week.. Looks like they're gonna get a fist full of dollars this week.. Greene Dollars
Kansas State vs. Missouri:
- I dont know.. Mizzou has been losing me some games as of late (Texas AND Nebraska).. But I dont have enough faith in Kud's boys to call them. Mizzou's last chance. If they lose i might never pick them again... Seriously
Arkansas vs. South Carolina:

Florida vs. Vanderbilt:
- CASHVILLE!!! I LOVE IT! UF by 3
Indiana vs. Illinois:
- Indiana rolls into Sham-PAIN and gives the 'Ois peoples black and blue Ill-I-In-EYES

Cincinnati vs. Southern Mississippi:
- So Missle
Fresno State vs. Rice:

Purdue vs. Iowa:
- Hawkeyes spittin FI-YA
Rutgers vs. Boston College:
- BC

Arizona vs. Washington:
- Im gonna go with washington solely because Greanne Gramling had a Washington coat when we were in 5th grade

Arkansas State vs. Idaho:
- ASU
East Carolina vs. Houston:
- ECU IS HORRIBLE!!! As TAE said, the worst program in the country, and all wins they have had over the past 4 years have been stricken from the books as this teams crappy players, coaching staff, and color scheme give them the Laxative Award for making me want to go every time i hear their name
Stanford vs. Arizona State:
- The Love and now Hate portrayed by TAE for ASU's ailing qb brings sunshine to my rainy days. ASU
Mississippi State vs. Alabama:
- I cant pick the Croomers.. I just cant
Oklahoma State vs. Texas:
- When i played Magee's friend Jeff at the Mount in NCAA 2004, he was texas, and every time he ran the ball he screamed "DONT DO IT TO THEM, CEDRIC!" It was the greatest thing ever, and i'll be screamin it all saturday afternoon after the longhorns wipe up OSU's mess
