The team this year in College Basketball?

Post by Lineman143 »

I believe Oklahoma St will be tough ranked 8th. I think Kansas is ranked too high at #1. Duke will be tough again this year and coach K will have them ready to go. Don't forget about Pitt with they seniors coming back they may make some noise.

The ACC will be tough as always. Duke and UNC will both be strong along with G.T. and Wake. I can not wait for this season to get underway...

Nothing better than the Duke, UNC match-ups and Duke Maryland, wow I'm getting pumped just thinking about it.

The Big East has some equally exciting rivalries. Nothing like the 80s with Patrick and the Hoyas against St. John, and Villanova. But close.

The Big East will be tough again this year. They'll be even tougher next year adding a few very good teams to the conference. I think UConn and Pitt will be battling it out all year for the Big East. But you can't forget about Syracuse. Also, Villanova should be pretty tough. It'll be another good year for the Big East. Hopefully, another NCAA Championship coming from there.

syracuse seems to be gettin the most attention in the big east to start the season. i think hakim warrick is the best player in the country. gerry mcnamara can bomb three's all day and is a good team leader on the court. i think they could struggle somewhat in big east play b/c they lack a good physical presence inside. they will do well in the tournament tho. that zone they play is tuff for teams that dont work against it that much.

villanova is an interesting team. they have some really good players on the perimeter but didnt show much consistency last year. jason fraser, their center, is out for the year for some kind of injury. they will miss him a lot but making the tournament is not outta the question for nova.

pitt and uconn will once again be the top 2 teams in the big east. uconn has a very good front court w/ 5 guys that could start on most any team in the country. rudy gay will be the next great scorer for uconn. they are just loaded w/ potential nba talent. pitt is going to miss j brown and j page more than some would think. they were not great offensive players, but they did everything else well. pitt has 2 very good returning players on their front court, taft and troutman, and a good pg, krauser. their defense won't be a good this year, but their offense will improve. their shooting could not get any worse from last year. if uconn can get good pg play and rudy gay becomes the star i think he will be in uconn's system, they will be a championship contender. if pitt can find some shooters and not lose too much defensively w/o brown and page, they will also be very tough once again.
