Eli Manning to start

I'm not sure if I believe it either, but according to this story: http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3165970 Eli Manning will get the start Sunday.

I don't know if I understand what's going on. The only thing I can think of is maybe Tom Coughlin's trying to give his team a spark. It can't be the quarterback. Kurt Warner's performance against Arizona was pretty good, considering he was constantly getting pressured. The Giants' line gave up six sacks, but Warner completed 19 of 30 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown. He had no picks, and he lost no fumbles. He had a bit of trouble the week before I think, but if he's getting the ax for that, he should have gotten it last week. So, I am very puzzled over this decision. Nonetheless, I think Eli Manning will play about a quarter of football, get picked off once or twice and complete less than 50% of his passes, then Coughlin will realize that he's made a mistake and put Kurt Warner back in. The game may be out of reach by that point though. But nonetheless, this has to be one of the stupidest coaching decisions I've heard of lately, especially with the Giants being able to grab a playoff spot if they can find their swagger back.

I think it's a dumb move, too. They had a legitimate shot at the playoffs. I don't think they do now. Maybe they're looking some of the magic the Steelers got from Big Ben. That is the only thing I can guess. Out with the old, in with the new.

Well, maybe he'll realize his own stupidity after about a quarter. If they keep Eli starting for any more than one game, their playoff hopes will go way downhill.
