I'll second that:
The Ramblers will be in the hunt, when the wash comes clean.

I KNOW THIS SEEMS TO BE AN OLDER POST FROM BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS BUT DOES ANYONE CARE TO CORRECT THEMSELVES WHEN THEY SAID THAT COACH KEVIN CHARNEY IS DOING A GOOD JOB AND THAT WINDBER WOULD BE IN THE HUNT. I DONT KNOW WHAT HUNT THEY WILL BE IN BUT IT SURE WONT BE ANY WHERE CLOSE TO THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. AND AS FOR DOING A GOOD JOB WELL THAT IS STILL RATHER A VERY BRAVE STATEMENT SEEING THAT I DONT SEE A GOOD JOB BEING DONE AT ALL.

Re: Windber
SEEMS TO BE REDUNDANT BUT IM GOING TO WRITE AGAIN. ABOUT THE JOB BEING DONE AT WINDBER THIS SEASON. AGAIN I WANT TO SAY I DONT BELIEVE ITS A REALLY GOOD JOB THAT IS GOING ON THERE. I ATTEND ALL THE GAMES AND IT IS GETTING REALLY FRUSTRATING. NEVER IN MY LIFE CAN I REMEMBER GETTING ABSOLUTELY BLOWN OUT IN THE REGULAR SEASON EVER. IT JUST NEVER HAPPENED AND IT SEEMS AS THOUGH NOW THERE ARE GAMES W ARE NEVER EVEN COMPETITIVE IN. AS A FAN THATS FRUSTRATING. YEAH THE TALENT LEVEL ISNT WHAT IT ONCE WAS HOWEVER THERE IS ENOUGH TALENT ON THAT TEAM TO WIN 16 17 18 GAMES WITH A WESTPAC SCHEDULE AND QUITE FRANKLY WINDBER IS GOING TO BE STRUGGLING TO WIN 11 I SEE IT AS A REFLECTION OF THE COACHES. IT APPEARS THEY HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE TEAM. THE TEAM IS ERRATIC ON OFFENSE AND TOTALLY UNDISCIPLINED EVERYWHERE ELSE. NO ADJUSTMENTS ARE MADE DURING TIMEOUTS AND NONE ARE MADE AT HALFTIME TO BETTER THE SITUATION THAT WE ARE IN AT THE TIME. COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TEACHING FUNDAMENTAL ASPECTS OF THE GAME AND HAVING A GAME PLAN NEITHER OF WHICH THIS WINDBER TEAM DOES WELL AT ALL. ASLO WE ARE HALFWAY THROUGH THE SEASON AND WE ARE PLAYING A LOT OF SENIORS THEY OBVIOUSLY ARENT GETTING THE JOB DONE MOST OF THEM ARE HORRIBLE BASKEBALL PLAYERS THAT CANT DO ANYTHING POSITIVE FOR THE TEAM. AS I LOOK AT THE PLAYERS ON THE BENCH THERE ARE QUALITY PLAYERS THAT ACTUALLY HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT BASKETBALL AND HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED SITTING ON THE BENCH. I FEEL AN EVALUATION HAS TO BE MADE ABOUT OUR COACHING STAFF THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE JOB DONE AT ALL. TOTALL UNACCEPTABLE. AND YOU KNOW ITS BAD WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR FAN BASE THAT HAS BEEN GOING SINCE THE 60S AND 70S THEY ARENT EVEN PRESENT AT THE GAMES ANYMORE THAT IS WHEN YOU KNOW QUESTIONS HAVE TO BE ANSWERED
Re: Windber
Sounds like you have all the answers, why don't you consider taking over the program?

Re: Windber
I agree with ernest miller....Only to the point where some seniors cant get it done and the coaches need to recognize this. But give the coaching staff a chane, i beilieve they know what they are doing, and will show promise in the future.
Re: Windber
I disagree with you ernest. Windber's JV team beat Blacklick's JV only by 10. You expect those JV players to help on varsity??? With a <a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... a></a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=<a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... th</a>"><a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.ph ... ></a></a>y Kitcho Windber would exceed all expectations. Without him they have very little talent. Throw in no height and a .500 season is a good year. Name a player on the team that would see any playing time on Rambler teams of old.

Take Byer, Lupek, Spaid, ... of their teams they would be awful. Name a player on Windber's team that would even see the court a few years ago.
Re: Windber
Tapp,
FYI, Windber's JV team is 10-1 with a 3 point loss to Central Cambria in OT. I happened to be at the B.V. game and the margin was greater than 10, so lets get our facts straight. Besides, Windber's JV team called off the press and played a 2-3 zone with their subs the entire 4th quarter. I agree, Windber does not have quite the caliber of players they did a few years back, however, don't count them out because the season is only half way through and I have seen improvements with each game. Just because there aren't players that have a name like Byer or Lupek does not mean a TEAM cannot accomplish great things. Isn't that what the concept of teamwork is all about?

Re: Windber
I don't get to see many of Windbers games, as much as I'd like too. Simply because i live quite a distance from the Royal Blue & White town.
The way I see things are, Windber players are caught in a delimma this year, in as much as the coaching staff is.
For one :There's very little heigth this year & last to work with, which everyone knows, that tall in basketball is 85 percent of your teams advantages.
Second of all, Talent has dropped off from the usal type of Rambler teams that Windberites are accustomed too. Talent can't be made, & neither can athletizism. You either have it, or you don't. It can be brought up to new levels with hard work, but that's not always going to be enough in most cases.
Third of all, Your New coaches where handed a team of this magnitude to try & instill this winning type of game, that Windber folks are used to. Put your self in their shoes.
Heck ! anyone can coach a team loaded with heigth & talent. You try it & see what results you'll get.
These coaches have gotten their hands full, especially with more of the Windber fan bashers, than the team itself.
It's a known fact that if you don't producea winner every year, Year in & year out. Your head goes to the chopping block real quick in this town.
I think that the fans have to face up to it that this is a very lean year. Your going to have these typers of years weather you like it or not. It happenes to to best of all teams & WINDBER IS NO EXCEPTION.
I'd say go to the games (Home & away) & support the kids & your new coaches & give them a chance to see if they are for real or not. This isn't the professional ranks in sports or "GODS" Sake. I hear the same bitching & moaning going on everytime the STEELERS start to suck !!!
Those Windber kids are no different than the ones that I've been watching for over 35 years. They too need your support & attendance.
Those fair~weather fans in Windber are spoiled to ther max. I was wondering some time ago ( what if Windber Basketball ever had a down year / season) What would happen to the establishment ?? Well I've gotten my answer.
There's a big picture everyone has to look at, & tunnel vision is not the answer.
There's teams down here in the W.P.I.A.L. where I live that would give their left testicle to have a season as good as Windber has already. & i'm not kidding either.
I remember a certain coach, who coached Windbers Boys Basketball team a few years back,& he went 19 - 3 & he too got fired. Hmmmmn !!!!!
You got to learn how to loose as well as how to win. It's a fact of life on this earth. Life isn't always fair to everyone.
PEACE EVERYONE,
