The Steelers will take this one. I'd say by a 14 point margin. I don't think the Jets are on the same level as the Steelers are. However, no one has been on the Steelers level all season. Anything can happen in the playoffs. I don't see the Steelers losing this one, though.

Players vs. players, at least right now, the Jets can't beat Pittsburgh, even though this is the playoffs and not the regular season. I'd go with coaching, and New York just doesn't have that edge on Pittsburgh.

The next game(s) will be the defining moment in post Steel Curtain Steeler history as well as Cower's coaching legacy.
The Jets lucked out. (Is that Rookie San Diego kicker still on watch?) They could be dangerous. I doubt it, though.

It's about time that Kaeding misses a kick of that magnitude. I had watched him make too many f.g.'s at Iowa and it made me smile to see him fail.
How about the coach of the year's boneheadded decision on sitting on the ball around the 20, was he trying to run the clock out in overtime? They had successfully thrown the ball down the field the entire drive to set up the W, but when they got down inside the 25, they decided to try to do what they had not been able to do all day, run the football. The Jets at one point had 9 guys in the box, 9! What a great decision to run the ball in the middle of the field the entire time, then on 3rd down, run a toss to the right???!!! Had they stayed in the middle, the kick would have snuck right inside the right upright, sending the Jets home packing and S.D. making plans for a trip to the Steel City. Great play calling and game management by the so called coach of the year...

I just don't understand the logic behind it, if there was any there to begin with. Ran 3 plays up the middle then I guess they tried to "surprise" the defense with a toss? Genious, pure genious. A play action pass would have been better suited, heck, they might get a first down and get closer to increase the percentage of the field goal attempt, but no, nobody would ever do that.
I can now understand why Schottenheimer (sp?) has a 5-12 record in the playoffs...

What scares me is that Cowher is a Schotenheimer protege. I am a huge Steeler fan (and always have been - so cut out the bandwagon thoughts), but let's be honest. Cowher always finds a way to stink it up in the playoffs (7-8 record).
This is the Steelers year. These windows of opportunity don't stay open for long. If they blow it this year, teflon Cowher must accept responsibility, and the Steeler nation will have to come to the realization that Cowher just won't ever gitter done.
