District # 9 Basketball rankings are out

ECC BOYS’; PUNXSUTAWNEY GIRLS’ REMAIN AT TOP OF D#9 RANKINGS

The Punxsutawney girls’ and Elk County Catholic boys’ basketball teams remain at the top of the District #9 Basketball Rankings produced by D#9Sports.com for the second rankings of 2004-2005 season.

The rankings are broken down into an overall category and classification categories – Class (AAAA)/(AAA), Class (AA) and Class (AA) – for both boys’ and girls’ basketball.

The rankings are based on games played through Friday, Jan. 7, 2005.

Listed are team, record and last week’s ranking in parenthesis. NR-denotes not ranked. Please feel free to use the rankings in any way you see fit. All we ask is that you credit D#9Sports.Com for them.

After this week, rankings will be released at the conclusion of every Friday night until the playoffs start.

This is the fifth year D9Sports.Com has done high school basketball rankings. They are an offshoot of the rankings Rich Rhoades did while he was Sports Editor at the DuBois Courier Express. They are the only District 9 basketball rankings that are done at this time.
