Baseball goes to Congress
Did anyone watch this one ESPN 2...it might just be me, but i think Mark McGwuire is absolutely useless answering every question with..."I'm not here to talk about the past" and "I'm retired"

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

At lease he made his own statements, Sammy just sat there and let his lawyer read his statements. He didn't want to convict himslef or any other players, he took his lawyers advice and why else do you hire someone like that if you're not going to listen to them?

Did they ever ask him a specific question...the only questions that i saw him answer were the ones that they went right down the line and asked everyone the same question.
favorite quote from the broadcast:
"Mr. Mcgwire, you say you want to be a spokesman for baseballs. What would your message be?"
"My message is steroids is bad."
