Rumor has it that the ONLY Senior NB Boys Baketball Player decided not to play. Jared Wiand was talking about not joining basketball this year and leaving it up to the juniors after he followed in the footsteps of some of NB's greats (Blake, Bowser, Sto...etc) the past 4 years. This could hurt the Boys team this year with lack of experience on the Varisty level....
ndndt, they will be fine this year, the won't be great but the y will make the playoffs. I am hoping to attend a few practices myself to whip these boys into shape.
"Guitar man playin' all night long, Take me back to where the music hit me, Life was good and love was easy"-Montgomery Gentry
they should make the playoffs considering most teams in D5 single A make the playoffs with a record anywhere near .500...losing the top 7 players from last years D5 runner-up team to graduation will surely hurt their cause tho...
Sorry Coveman...I was very attached to the basketball team last year and in my opinion they are greats. I am not saying that AJ and Landon and the rest weren't just wonderful too....
Wiand harldy played at all last year. Why would his absence be much of a loss to this team. If he doesn't want to play he wouldn't ahve helped at all anyways.
i agree with BCLfan.....Wiand is terrible at basketball, he should stick to baeball......him not playing will help the team greatly.....the juniors will do very well this year, gain some experience, and kick **** next year....Good Luck Juniors i'll be supporting you.
wiand would bring the leadership and the work ethic passed down through the years. i'm not so shure about this NB team. i'll have to look at my schedule before i do any predicting...
Be nice to the geeks in your life
odds are you're going to be working for one
Wiand didn't play a lot because he was in the shadow of Mitch Blake, Josh Sto, Brian Ritchey, Bryan Smith, Branden Bowser, Jamie Reasy, and David Riley...NB had an exceptional year with a lot of talented seniors. All of the sports this year have suffered because last years seniors were very good athletes for the most part. I personally would find it difficult sitting on the bench as a junior with as much talent as Wiand has...I think he should come back this year and lead the team
