Jane Fonda apology?
Anyone catch Hanoi Jane on 60 minutes last night? The segment was supposed to be about her apologizing for her ardent outspoken support of good ole Uncle Ho.
What I saw was her trying to justify her actions and not apologizing for anything she said or did. It was pathetic in my opinion.
What are your thoughts?

I wish I had known that was on. I quit watching 60 minutes long ago.

Of course you thought she was pathetic, SP, she doesn't have the same opinion as you.

Re: Jane Fonda apology?
That's right but the whole purpose of the 60 minute segment was for her to apologize to those that were offended by her actions! She didn't even come close to that. Maybe instead of pathetic I should have said hypocrite!

Re: Jane Fonda apology?
Why'd they bill it as an apology? Or was it live?

Ratings! Bill it as an apology and millions will watch to see that. Tell the truth...that really she just wanted to make excuses and justifications who would want to watch that. Hey its Danny boy Rathers 60 minutes you think this is the first time that they were't totally honest?

Re: Jane Fonda apology?
Upon further review of several news sources since yesterday I have decided that Jane Fonda is a bigger hypocrite than I previously thought.
Since when did 60 minutes become a book promo show? Fonda is currently on a tour to promote her new book and movie. Maybe the divorce settlement wasn't enough to satisfy her bohemian lifestyle. Anyway what a low, gutter trash tactic to use 60 minutes as a pulpit to sell a few books under the guise of repenting for ones past transgressions. PATHETIC!

Re: Jane Fonda apology?
Maybe you already answered this, but was it live or taped? If it was taped and they still billed it as her apology, I'd probably never watch that show again.
