If you really want to make a difference in yourself, Consider goin to the military. I perfer the Marines. Not that I'm dissin all the other branches, it's that the Marines get alot of respect.

The Qualifications you need is to be able to run a mile and a 1/2, in like 13 min. and you need to be able to do 3 pull ups. It's not all that hard to get in. You also need to pass a 6 hour long physical. this includes blood pressure, eyes, urine test, blood test, and one more i can't remeber that one.

It's not that hard to get in. But Boot Camp is a different story. it's mentally and physically challenging. 13 weeks of running, warrior training, swim quals, obstacle course, and the Crucible. but it's worth it in the end.

somethin tells me that punksnotdead is not yet a Marine, although very enthusiastic about my beloved Corps, many civilian traits are still noticeable in his words. but anyway to qualify to be a Marine you must score at least a 33 on the ASVAB (a barney style SAT, this test is a joke!), pass a physical, hearing, drug, eye tests, do a minimum of 45 crunches in 2 minutes, 12 minute 1.5 mile run, and 3 dead hang pullups (arms must be fully extended when at the down position), thats just to get to bootcamp, once at boot camp, you must do a PFT which is the same crunches and pullups but now its a 3 mile run in 28 minutes, perfect scores are 100 crunches, 20 pullups, and 18:00 minute run, which if i could do more pullups i would have a perfect score, but all those years playing soccer and nothing else have made my arms very weak (someone was gonna say it anyway!) but yes Marine boot camp is the hardest in the military but you dont have to be a Marine to make a difference in yours or someone elses life.

the marines are little more physical. than the army. and the navy and air force are the most lax. concerning physical conditioning. just because you see the minimum reqirements for a p.t. test are easy. they are always pushing you past that if all you did was the minimum you would be scoffed on a regular basis.
