Look out for the fighting irish

Post by count2infinity »

Notre Dame....2-0 any thoughts???

After last season, they really seem to have turned something around having beaten Pitt and Michigan both away from home.

I'm really impressed that they went into the big house and came out with the W.

It's rather impressive that they won at Michigan. If they can do that, they might be able to win all the games on their schedule, though with their schedule, I doubt it. But if they came out of all that with only ONE loss, they might still be able to play for the national title.

they looked good, but man their schedule is a killer, the game it will come down to is USC and if the irish go undefeated the entire year that's impressive and could possibly go down as one of the turn around years ever.

BisonBlue, because of that schedule being a killer, they might be able to get into the BCS title game with one loss, because of the polls (which take into account tough schedules) and quality wins. If there are any one loss teams up for consideration, Notre Dame, if they had only one loss, would be first in line.

Guess if ND and Michigan both end up with ONE loss, ND would get the nod based on head to head. So if Michigan hopes to get into the title game, ND would almost have to lose twice.

Notre Dame's offense hasn't done anything overly impressive since the 1st drive fo the the 2nd half of the Pitt game. Any thoughts on that?
Did you know... that the College Football Hall of Fame recognizes Pitt as having won THREE national championships?

You only need ONE more point than your opponent when the game is over and it doesn't matter how you get it.
