Rivals.com Update

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

Rut-row! Pitt's got pwoblems!

That's right, ladies. Rivals.com has an updated Top 100 prospects and their top schools so far.

PENN STATE:
- No verbals
- 7 kids in top 88 have PSU listed

PITTSBURGH:
- 1 verbal: Dorin Dickerson
- 1 kid in top 100 has Pitt mentioned: Dorin Dickerson

Now, being one who is quick to toot his own horn since I get no cred around here, was I right or was I right? I told yall people that losing to those teams was going to destroy that Heaven-sent recruiting class. As far as I know, none of the early Pitt commits have jumped ship as yet, but many, many kids who had Pitt listed have completely abandoned the helpless Panthers. It's the beginning of the end, children!!! Mark my words.

Are we basing how good a recruiting class is by the # of top 100 kids that are coming to that school? Pitt has 17 verbals. No one is bailing out. 14 from western pa.

As of now, Pitt has 17 verbals. Five of them are 4 star recruits. PSU now has 5 verbals. Only one 4 star recruit.

I think Moldo proved his point. The recruits are not going to look at one season to base their decision. If they did, Penn State would not be undefeated right now. I think Pitt will be alright with their recruits.

WRONG YET AGAIN, YOUNG ONE.

Listen: Penn State gets recruits based on previous success, and because their coach (who gained the previous success) is still on the sideline up there. They recruit based on tradition and prestige, and that is how they have gotten players the past few years. Pitt, on the other hand, gets no one, because they have no tradition, and even less prestige.

Oh, I have the list saved. In February expect Your Literary Hero to drop the bomb like the Gap Band. What I proven in this topic is that there were man, many kids in the top 100 who had Pitt listed as apossible choice of schools in the preseason. ALL of them have gone elsewhere, with the exception of Dorin Dickerson. Keep talking about your verbals. A lot of people give a lot of verbals to many schools. And you pitt fans should be smart enough, by now, to know that a verbal committment isn't worth the paper you wipe your asses with. Get ready for Letter of Intent Day.

Nice try, deliverance, but once again you are schooled in college football. Keep trying, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again.

Pitt just has to hope they didn't have any recruits on hand to see this weeks game with Cincinnati. 20,000 people and a Student section 1/5th full. What a College Atmosphere! Great idea to share a stadium that's not walking distance from the school.

Hey, why build your own stadium when you mooch off the luster of one of the NFL's most storied programs? ULTERIOR MOTIVES! Give me a break, Pitt has more money than any of us realize. Heinz Field is a recruiting tool.

And it's also the closest Dave Wannstedt is ever going to come to another NFL sideline.

Talk to me later in the year on this matter...

Early recruiting helped Pitt with Morelli and A. Johnson. We'll see... PSU just got a 4* verbal this weekend and 5* J. Odrick (Rivals #3 guard in the nation) has put PSU at the top of his list. He was at the game the other night because he WANTED to be there. He drove up himself and wore PSU gear on the sideline. He said he will continue with the recruiting process, but PSU is at the top of the list. I don't think he'll go anywhere else but PSU now.... the names will keep coming for the Nits.

PSU also moved to the top of the list for Antonio Logan-El a 5* Offensive Lineman from Maryland. He was at the game after his high school game was cancelled Saturday. Here's a good story. Logan-El
