Cleaning up the BCS from bwi.rivals.com..Interesting read...

Post by Coach »

The loss to Mich hurts a little bit more knowing that we would have had a good shot at getting to the big show if we won out. The DWill injury is huge though... I hope the offense keeps playing well without him. I wouldn't be shocked by 10-1 or 9-2, either way. Wisky and Mich State are two toughies at the end of the season. Anyway...if things played out right........it COULD still happen. I mean it is a 1 in a 10000 chance, but it could happen. All this talk of multiple unbeatens...what if there is only 1 or none after it is all said and done. I still think Texas and USC are more than likely to go undefeated. Bama and VT have tougggggh roads to haul. Georgia has a shot, but they have tough games left.

I predict two unbeatens... Texas and USC.

Teams I think will lose FOR SURE in the top 10 now:
Texas Tech- They will lose to Texas...most likely they'll lose 2.
UCLA- Will lose to USC and maybe Ariz. State
Miami- lose at V Tech...ACC title game a possible loss too
LSU- Auburn, Bama, or SEC Championship
Georgia- Flor, Aub, GT, or SEC Championship... tough stretch...
VT- maybe lose to Miami, Maryland, BC, ACC Title game
Bama- Tenn, LSU, Auburn, SEC Championship

Late losses usually hurt more than earlier losses. That is why Miami and LSU are still high with 1 loss. I hope there aren't 3 unbeatens because of the dumb system, but 1 or no unbeatens would really make things interesting. I really hope there aren't any, so the college football world has to pick between 5 or 6 one loss squads, even if it is PSU that would be in that mix and get left out.

Anyway, I hope PSU wins their last 4 and wins the B10. Then let the pieces fall where they may. Just wanted to show some of the possibilities out there.

If Tech beats Texas this weekend, they'll win the conference. They already beat the hell out of Kansas State, and any passing team can beat Colorado. Nebraska is NOT better than Texas Tech, but they match up well. That's why that game was so close. Nebraska has 2 kids in their secondary who will probably get drafted. But look for Texas Tech to smash them pretty good if they play again.

This is all hoping that Texas loses, obviously, which will not happen.
