His dad is the coach, a standout at Meyersdale in the mid 80s, his grandfather is the famous Butch Stahl, his aunt is the announcer and his nephew is the water boy. He doesn’t have a choice but to get better. With their playoff future in their hands the Blue Jays will have to overcome the drive and the thermometer in their quest to face BC at PC in round one of the District 6A playoffs. This shouldn’t be a game if Vince Turner and the gang play like champions. I have seen 6 of their games and at times they are aggressive on both sides of the ball and at other times they look lethargic and unmotivated. If they plan on winning any games past Friday night they need to attack and the LBs need to set up and do their job. Don’t get caught in the wash and know your responsibilities. If you have the back out then you better be there! If you have to junction with the TE before you drop to your zone then you better do it. If you have the dive man on the option… well you get the picture! CV averages 18/game against only 8 for their opponents! So take CV by 14.

Take Zambonini and the Indians against the **** cats from Boswell. This is the battle for 3 win game and I’ll take the visitors in this clash. Sammy will have Muir and Watkins clicking on all cylinders. Look for an offensive explosion by both teams. CT by 12

Windber @ Portage[/align]
Look for Gouse and Correnti to have the Mustangs ready to play and for Windber to finally lose one. Yes Portage will win if they stop Windber’s TE from leaking into the soft underbelly of the Mustang secondary. After seeing both of these teams play I can’t help but root for both of them. They play smash mouth football and they are both well coached, however, I saw some very troublesome things on the Portage sideline last week. No, not the 100 kids standing side by side from the 25 to the 25 but the throwing of helmets and the injured players. It seemed they had someone down on every series. Mustangs you better strap it up this week because the Ramblers aren’t the Bluejays and they are coming to get you, on your field, in your backyard. The teams give up a combined 12.7 points per game so take the under and Windber in this one. Windber 8-6
