Mike Tirico?

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

Why does Mike Tirico continually talk to the players from the announcing booth? He always does this. Pitt just punted, and Tirico goes, "Be careful, Louisville, you don't wanna touch it." I then heard the Cardinals collectively tell Mike Tirico Thank You for his care and wisdom. This guy does this kinds of stuff all the time. I dunno what's worse, this or his annoying voice every time something remotely exciting happens.

Isn't it great? I just heard the same thing after Pitt got a 19 yard punt off. Yes, you read that right peeps, nineteen yards.

However, I must say that the beginning of this Pittsburgh-Louisville game was about the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. Louisville kicks off, and Pitt muffs it. After Louisville recovers their kickoff in the endzone, 6 points go on the board, and after the PAT, Louisville is leading 7-0. So Louisville kicks off AGAIN. This time, Pitt catches the ball (instead of muffing it) and returns it about 90 yards for a touchdown. After 2 special teams play, and about 25 seconds, the score is tied at 7 without either offense setting foot onto the gridiron. LOL
