The only slight chance Penn State has is if USC, Texas, and Alabama all lose, and even then, Miami (FL) would be ahead of PSU, and LSU could pass PSU based on human polls and strength of schedule . In fact, the BCS standings haven't come out yet, but LSU was right behind PSU last week, and they are one spot ahead of PSU in both the Harris and Coaches' polls. The odds of PSU being in the Rose Bowl are probably somewhere between 0.1% and 1%. So, in other words, it's not going to happen.

That's pretty much it, ham. Unless 3 of the top 4 ahead of PSU lose, PSU isn't getting in. LSU would probably have to lose too, since the human polls like LSU more. But I'm cheering for Bama, Texas, and USC to all lose and create the biggest BCS mess known to college football. Why? Because I want a fair, 8 or 16 team playoff.

The only team that Penn State can't score points against is Miami. USC's defense is nowhere close to what they were before, Texas' defense is solid but they haven't really played anybody in 2 months, Alabama does have a good defense but Penn State would beat them, LSU is not that good. Alabama and LSU are the two teams ranked up there that would lose quickly if those teams played eachother.
The SEC getting "screwed" again is a blessing in disguise for that conference, because none of those teams are good enough to beat the top 5-6 teams. There's probably even 8-9 teams better than them. How bad would it would it be if 12-0 Alabama played USC and got exposed in a 50-0 loss? You should rather lose a game in the regular season than get there and get your brains blown out.
Alabama might seriously lose the next two games.
