Scott vs. Strayer

Post by S Cube »

this has been a topic on a few other web sites so i figured i would get it started on bleachercoaches...

jake strayer recently accepted a full ride to penn state and im sure he is working hard to get back to the top of the podium in hershey...what happened to him last year was definitely a fluke and i think it will just push him harder to get back on top...he also has a few solid workout partners, particularly shane valko...

garrett scott also has a heck of a workout partner in cousin brock scott, who also could make a run at states yet again this year...garrett was the state champ last year at the same weight strayer got third...but strayer beat scott each time they matched up head to head last year...

if these two meet up this year...i would have to take strayer to beat scott...how awesome would it be if these two meet in the d6 finals, regional finals, and state finals?

indeed it would be awesome and hopefully it's a possibility to happen...those places would be rockin' when those matches were happening. To pick who would win...I'd have to go with Strayer. I think like cubey said about the full ride to PSU that this would give him extra incentive to get that gold in Hershey and prove his dominance at that weight. There will definitely be some good matches this year.

i agree, he has something to work for, expectations from psu, and i'm sure he wants to get back at last years let down.

I aslo take Strayer. That boy runs to school every day from what i am told. He is a machine. He never runs out of gas. You can ask Brandon Reasy about that from the Thomas Chevy Tournament.

i remember that match, switch...i believe reasy jumped out to an early lead but strayer goes just as hard if not harder in the 3rd period than he does in the 1st and he just dominated reasy on his feat...

I think the score of that match was 12-6.

Reasy is an awesome wrestler, but I have to admit, he got pretty tore up last year against Strayer. All FH wrestlers are extremely aggressive.

FH does have many agressive wrestlers. Strayer is very good with a lot of potential along with Scott, Goodluck to both this year!

My vote is for Strayer. He just goes and goes and goes. Love to watch him.
