We've All Done It.

Post by The Ancient Enemy »

So I am watching the Insight.com Bowl between the 69th place Big East team Rutgers and thr 15th place Pac-10 team Arizona State. Many things made me want to blow up my television.

#3: I don't know who in the hell the sidekick-announcer was tonight, but he was pretty classic. Towards the end of the game, Rutgers was down 12 and Ryan Hart roled to his left and just threw one up. It was intercepted. The announcer says, "Ryan Hart just did what we've all done, throw it up and go for it all in desperation." I for one will admit that every time I am trailing by 12 to Arizona State, I just sling it down the field like a maniac. I especially like to do it when there's thriple-coverage and there's 3 and a half minutes left in the game, and my team has obviously scored at will the whole game, since the score is 45-33. But hey, we've all done it, so cut the kid a break.

Gary Danielson said that.

I for one thought both he and Musburger were plowed off their a$$. They slurred their speech all night and looked as drunk as Jimmy Kimmel.

They did have some great quotes though.

"Dave Wannstedt is at 'home' rooting for Rutgers.'

Notice the emphasis on "home".

followed up by

"Two Millers are better than one."

Can't argue with them on that one....

This was a good game. Rutgers hung right in there with them. Maybe the Big East isn't as bad as most people think. Rutgers played their hearts out. That pass was dumb. They played it right on their last drive when they drove right down for the score.

Gary Danielson's career in the NFL was exactly like that, throw it up in desparation. He was the 70's version of Joey Harrington to the Lions. BTW- I'm 9 and 0 so far on the bowl picks. Thank you all very much.

What does Wannstadt sitting at home have to do with the Rutgers-ASU game? That wasn't a jab? Remember the "emphasis on home" remark???

it was commentary in the game, which was the subject being discused, the paterno remark was out of context, didnt coach go over all this already?
