they SHOULD BE ashamed

Post by El-Moldo »

How can a member of the almighty Big 10 LOSE to a team like Nebraska? I mean Nebraska barely beat Pitt by ONE point on their home field. Thought the Big 12 was a mediocre conference? You know, if I was a PSU fan, I might be sweating out that Florida State match-up in a couple of days. Most Big 10 teams just can't perform away from their home fields. Of course, when you only play 4 road games a year, it is a little tough to get used to.

Guess what, Pitt still sucks and always will; and you're not going to find that many PSU or B10 fans who were pulling for Meatchicken tonight. I certainly wasn't, and had several of my rabid Ohio State and WVU neighbors over to watch the glorious defeat of scUM while we put away a case (or twelve) of Miller Lite, and toasted (yet again) to Ohio U.'s glorious defeat of porn star Wanny.

Lllllllloyd got exactly what he deserved with the calls. I guess his check bounced.

yeah and Boston College almost blew a huge lead vs. boise st. therefore the ACC is a horrible conference...c'mon, in a single game anything can happen.

So what you are saying is, is that because ALL bowl games are a single game, NO generalizations can be made from the outcomes of these games, as far as conferences are concerned?

I guess this about does it: The Atlantic Coast Conference must be down right awful.

The #24 ranked team in the country, The Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech from the Atlantic Coast Conference, were taken apart piece by piece by the unranked Utah Utes from the Mountain West Conference. Final score: Utah - 38 G. Tech -10.

This of course extends the Utes bowl game winning streak to five. Having outscored their opponents in the last five bowl wins by a margain of 117-39. It would have been the Utes seventh bowl victory in a row, had it not been for Wisconsin of the Big Ten confernce beating Utah in the 1996 Copper Bowl, 38-10.

R.I.P. Atlantic Coast Conference.

Maybe Utah went to their secret offense: run the same play 75 times with success. They're unbeatable when they run that.

Then since the ACC is so terrible, Penn State, the present #3 team in the country, should have a cake-walk against Florida State?

Guess that Wisconsin win in the Copper Bowl ranks right up there with all those great Big Ten bowl wins.
