AFC and NFC championship games...
Alright ladies and gents...we're down to the final games before "the big one" so who's traveling to Detroit and playing for the championship?
I'm going to say Seahawks vs. Steelers
both games are going to be very very close, i think that the panthers and broncos could easily pull out with a win, but the question still remains, who will win them? any predictions?

i picked the seahawks just because theyre playing at home, i honestly feel that the panthers a better team, steve smith is just unbelievable, getting 200+ yards against one of the top defenses in the league is impressive. i also think the panthers have a better defense than the 'hawks. i say homefield advantage comes into play for this one and the "12th man" causes a few game-losing false starts for the team from the east.
as for the denver/burgh game, wow, this is what the 4th year in a row that the black and gold have made it to the conference championship? its getting a lil old guys, youve proved yourselves thus far, time to take it to the next level. the two teams are definetly pretty equal, i think if the burgh can open up the pass like they did against the colts and leave more room for bettis and company they will take this one. if it comes down to the kicker though, Elam takes the cake and the broncs go to detroit.

STRAIGHT
Gunner it is the 3rd time in the last 5 years the Steelers have made the Conference Championship not 4th year in a row. Elam does not got much Reed.
Now for my picks:
Seattle - Carolina
Seattle (assuming Alexander will play) has a running and a passing attack (featuring 2 PSU alum) compared to Carolina passing attack. If this game was at Carolina it may be different but I take the Seahawks 27-24.
Denver - Pittsburgh
Both teams are playing their best football of the season. Denver has been very successful in Championship games recently and Pittsburgh has not. Pittsburgh has the advantage of a more balanced attack on offense by proving last week they can use the pass to set up the run and earlier have proved they can use the run to set up the pass.
Steelers will jump out to a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Denver will then answer with a TD but will never catch or pass the Steelers and the Steelers will hold on 19-17.
Super bowl is set:
Seattle Seahawks (15-3) VS. Pittsburgh Steelers (14-5)
