Big Ten Tourny Starts

Post by abpk2903 »

Penn State starts the Big Ten Tournament today at noon when they play Northwestern(beat twice). The winner of this game goes on to play the 1 seed Ohio State. Penn State could be very dangerous in this tournament. They were hit and miss all year.

Here's a look at some games that could have went both ways:

Illinois: Won by 1 point
Iowa: Lost by 4 (tied in the last minute)
Ohio State: Lost by 11 (closer than score had to foul a lot late)
Michigan State: Lost by 9 (on the road)
Michigan: Lost by 6
Indiana: Won by 3; Lost by 4

Here is some of the disappointing games of the Big Ten:

Ohio State: Lost by 35
Wisconsin: Lost by 29; Lost by 20
Minnesota: Lost by 9 (after beating Illinois)
Iowa: Lost by 27 (only scored 38 points)

So what team will show up in the Tournament!!!

the only way penn state will be dangerous in this tourney is if they strap explosives to themselves during the contest. think about it two teams competing to be a snack for the number one seed.

o.k then let me just hope penn state wins the big ten tourney that would be funny to see them get thrown to the dogs during the big dance.playing a squad like uconn or nova that would be real satisfying to me. no actually psu being as bad as thay are right now is actually more satisfying

So Penn State was hit amd miss all year? Here is ONE glaring statistic not really obvious to the casual observer. This year Penn State won 15 men's basketball games. Of all the teams they beat, ONLY ONE HAD A WINNING RECORD THIS SEASON!!! Unbelieveable isn't it? The only team that PSU beat with a winning record was the University of Missouri at Kansas City Kangaroos. And even they were 16-14. Knowing this, how can anyone on the N.I.T. committee extend an invitation to the Nitttany Lions?? Really.

Hmmmmm...check your facts please on beating winning teams Mr. Casual Observer....

They beat BOTH Indiana and Illinois (broke their 33 game home win streak).

Spout off, spout off, spout offfff and say things that aren't true. Tough to believe anything you post man.....

Sorry You are right coach. I forgot about the Big ten conference. 5 of their Big Ten victories were against Northwestern and Purdue who do not have winning records. So they beat THREE teams with winning records out of 15 wins. Ahh, that makes a difference doesn't it? And why should coach care anyway? He's been a UConn fan since he was a little boy, right?

Yep, I am a UConn fan, but I've also been a PSU fan since Amaechi and guys like Dan Earl played. They've never done anything big, but I watch them a lot and usually go to at least one game per year. I've had season tickets there before too. The Huskies were just on the television the first time I watched a game that I remember and I was hooked on them since then. PSU I've enjoyed watching since I can follow them in the paper and I can go see them play easily.

FYI: I'm not a big fan of, but I really like to watch: WVU and Gonzaga. Anytime they play a UConn I don't root for them, but I do any other time I'm watching.
