Great News for Pitt Fans.
Read this and remember it. One of your own hoodlums is trying to save all of your lives.
Make your heart stand still!
"Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical-services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It'll get your heart rate back to normal."
This is great news for the upcoming spring practices and annual spring scrimmage game. Don't be shocked to see in the KDKA footage all 25 Pitt fans blowing on their thumbs when Palko throws a pass to someone and they actually catch it. I know that that is really an astronomical chance, but keep in mind Greg Lee is gone now and it may be possible for one of your players to somehow accidentally catch one this year. I died a little bit, as did all Penn State fans, when Greg Lee declared for the draft. He was truly loved by all of us in the Nittany Lion community. It was sad to see him go, it really was. I just wish he would have stayed one more year.

Uh oh. Can the Mountaineers be stopped in anything in the Big East??First 900 yards of rushing from the same two plays, now this. I'm at least glad to see that Stan Posluszny, little brother of Paul, had a hand in the latest stomping, by smashing a grand slam.
WVU baseball squad sweeps Pitt

With Sunday's thrilling 13-4 mauling of the Pitt Panthers, the West Virginia University baseball team earned its 13th straight win.
Sunday's win capped WVU's (19-3, 3-0) three-game sweep of the conference rival.
WVU started to light up the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning, when clean-up hitter Stan Posluszny ripped a grand slam over the left field fence.
Pittsburgh came back in the top of the fourth with RBIs from Jim Negrych and Peter Parise, bringing the score to 4-2.
West Virginia answered with an RBI from shortstop Doug Nelms and a three-run shot over the left field wall by Justin Jenkins, which increased the lead to 8-2.
"I was seeing the ball pretty well. (I've been) staying calm in the batter's box and putting a good hack on the ball and getting some good swings," Jenkins said.
The Mountaineers would control the rest of the game behind the steady arm of starting pitcher Marty Fagler, who earned four strikeouts in seven innings.
The most exciting play of the game came in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, center fielder Adam White hit a ground ball to right field. Thanks to a myriad of errors, what should have been a routine single turned into an in-the-park home run and the second grand slam of the day for WVU.
"When I initially hit the ball, I stopped at first because I wanted to see what Dave (Carpenter) was doing on second base. Once I saw he was actually moving, I just too k the diamond base by base," White said. "I looked to coach at third base, and he kept waving me home."
As if sweeping the Panthers wasn't rewarding enough, it came as a surprise to many as Pitt was favored to win the conference. Many experts didn't see WVU earning a .500 season.
"It's always been a big rivalry. It was definitely sweet that the sweep was against Pitt," White said.
White's sentiments were mirrored by head coach Greg Van Zant.
"I was happy to get a win," Van Zant said. "We wanted to win one game in the series. We were fortunate to get the second one, and getting the third one was just an awesome start for our guys."
