A little early for hoops predictions! But I have to point out 2 things: Pete O' carried that team and they will be okay but favored to win nothing!

No capitalization and apostrophes can be dealt with or attributed to poetic license but punctuation helps readability and the word you were looking for was/is biased! Some of my pals would have accused me of being "biost" if I did not point this out. Math and grammar tutorials are offered occasionally on this site...

Way to early to be talking hoops but you have to go with Central Cambria to be the favorite next year in the LHAC

central cambria does look strong with most of their team back. gowen will carry the load while the holsinger brothers will be a force to be reckoned with inside.

Im not sure if this is true, but I heard that Jordan Miller who will be a sophmore next year at Central Cambria has recieved a full scholarship to St. Francis to play basketball.

According to the Johstown Tribune, he has made a verbal commitment to play there. A lot can happen in three years and the way that Booby Jones's program has been going, Jones might not be there in three years and then what? Miller can certainly handle the rock but a D-1 player, even at St. Francis? I guess we'll have to wait and see. But good for the kid!

Regarding SFU's recruiting...I have seen Steve Profeta (from Char Valley from the WPIAL), and the two D6 local kids play (Hoffman and Sapid).

With all due respect for those fine local HS players, Jones recruited D2 talent in all 3. From what I have heard, none of the 3 received a solid D1 offer beseides SFU. Heck, UPJ has at least 2 guards who are ar least as good as Profeta, or the other two for that matter!

Recruiting like that, Bobby will be gone long before the kid from CC gets there...and I suspect the three kids I mentioned will strongly consider, or be asked to transfer if Jones goes.

I understand that Jones has one more year on this contract and was given a 3 year extension.
