Delweld vs. Roberts

i know that delweld won last night, but how did the win, what happened during the game, who do they pitch, was it exciting. Someone get back to me.

Delweld won 5-4. Scored a run in the bottom of the 6th. Leadoff hitter singled. They bunted him up to 2nd. He went to third on a groundout to 2nd and scored on a bloop single over SS by Kyle Bowser. Bowser pitched a nice game for Delweld, going the whole 7.
In the top of 7th, George Roberts got on, singled I think and instead of bunting him up, Miller grounded into a DP, the second DP for Delweld of the game. Lassik then K'd to end it.
Jon Kirby pitched the first 2 for RPBS and Carter Lehman pitched the rest of the game.
A couple of contraversial calls but Delweld deserved to win Game 1. Just a note, the home plate umpire was terrible: very inconsistent with his strike zone: Idon't think the pitchers or the hitters had any idea what he was going to call. And lost his head when he ejected Roberts manager early in the game and particularly after the game when he should have just went to the car.
Game 2 tonight.

I was there at the game last night and thought it was a pretty good game. The umpire was extremely bad like you said, but it was a good game either way. Can anyone tell me who the kid was from Roberts that hit that bomb to tie the game at 2? He seems like a good hitter. Thanks guys. Good luck to both teams.

The kid that hit the HR was Drew Westover. Ya, the umpire didn't cost any one the game in my opinion but he was inconsistent throughout the whole game with bad calls both ways.
Looking forward to Game 2 tonight.

10-0 RPBS in game 2. Nice performance by Matt Skoner of Roberts with the shutout. Good hitting and defense by them. Delweld just couldn't seem to get anything going. Series tied 1-1. Game 3 at 10:00 Sat. This one will be alot closer and could go either way.

BTW, great game between the Grays and Principle last nightin AAABA action

Delweld Won Game 3 like 11-6 or something on that line.

i agree. Go DELWELD. Who is left for pitching for both sides. Game 4 should be intersesting but delweld i think will pull it out. When does the game start tomorrow. Who do u guys think the pitchers will be.

Game 4 starts in a few hours.
My prediction is that Delweld will beat Roberts today thus winning the championship.
My reasoning for this is the lack of pitchers Roberts has left.
Watkins is still availible I believe but everytime he pitched against Delweld he hasnt lasted more than a few innings.
Delweld still has a few quality pitchers in their lineup who can still pitch.
I believe that Roberts has the better offence but usually the Delweld defence shuts it down.

i feel delweld is clicking on all cylinders now and should beat roberts today

i look to see the 16 year olds to step up and do big things because this is possibly their last game

8-6 Roberts in Game 4. Roberts had 8-1 lead going into the 6th and almost blew it but Lehman came in w/ the based loaded and no outs in the 7th and pitched out of the jam.
Series tied at 2-2. Championship Game tomorrow. It has been a great series so far and it all comes down to 1 game tomorrow.
