Oh it the greatest time of the year coming up, football is going to be in the air!! Looks like another great year coming up for the beloved EERS!! Letssssssssssss Goooooooooooo Mountaineers!!

The thing that sucks for WVU fans is that their schedule is so weak. So even if WVU does live up to the hype, and goes undefeated like they should, there are still going to be people who think WVU sucks, because they didn'y play anybody, regardless of how good they really are. It really seems like we are about to see a season where at least 1 team in the national title game is going to have a loss or two. If WVU does get in there, and wins the national title, they'll have beaten a team who probably wasn't even undefeated. The whole level of strength is probably going to be weaker than usual in 2006.

But I dont think WVU will get in the title game, even if they are undefeated. I think by 3/4's of the way through the season, we're gonna start hearing alot of the talking heads saying how WVU doesn't play anybody. If Louisville staggers a little this season, WVU is gonna look even worse, because they are the only decent team on their schedule. I feel like the nod for the title game is going to go to teams with longtime prestige who are going to have a loss or two. Maybe WVU will get screwed, but then again, look at who they play. That sucks for the WVU fans, but we might get to witness first hand this season the true reality of college football. There's no way Oklahoma or Nebraska or Notre Dame or Florida State or Texas or Michigan or USC or LSU or Tennessee is going to get slighted for West Virginia.

What do you want them to do drop football because of their schedule, I don't believe they want that type of schedule but when teams think they are better than everyone else and want a 900 game to 1 home game is just plain crazy ie PSU. I know you guys are experts and know everything so I am sure you could be ad's at all these schools but no you are pumping gas at the local BP! Holla. Letsssssssss Gooooooooo Mountaineers!

Hey, I'm not the one who will be crying foul when my team goes undefeated and is still not playing in the national title game. Do you honestly think that the NCAA is going to hand WVU a national title shot with that schedule, when Auburn was slighted and beat like 5 teams in the top 20 or whatever in 2004? Get real.

I showed you a whole list of schools they could have played, in that article. It's not opinion, Hollywood, those are the I-A schools that were playing I-AA teams during the football week of September 9th. "I dont know whats going on down there" looks like they don't either, but they'll learn that the hard way. I wasn't even trying to speak badly of WVU, I was just stating what a potential problem is, and how WVU is going tosuffer because of it. All these people are so high on WVU, we'll see who's side they are on when 11-1 Texas beats 11-1 Nebraska for the Big 12 title, or 11-1 LSU beats 11-1 Georgia for the SEC title. Hey, maybe WVU's AD just lost his address book and doesnt know how to call other AD's. Good luck!!!!

I'm not even trying to start trouble here, for once. But... time is NOT going to tell anything, Hollywood. You don't play anybody. They could beat everyone by 4 TD's and people are still going to question their worth, versus a team who played a bunch of SEC powers, or a bunch of quality Big 12 or Big Ten teams.

Does WVU deserve to play for the national title if they go undefeated? First of all, if ND goes undefeated, there is no way they will not be one of the two teams playing for a national title. No way, no how, are they gonna get screwed. So now we have potentially one spot open this season. Like I said, no one is a dominant force going into 2006. The strength level is down, across the board. Do you see a 12-0 WVU, with that schedule, getting a nod over a team from the Big Ten, ACC, SEC, Pac-10, or Big 12, even if that team has a loss? I just dont see it happening. Remember: the Pac-10's version of a conferenc etitle game is in their new system of playing every conference member every year. I just do not see a case for even an undefeated WVU to be given that bid over a 12-1, SEC champion Florida. It will not happen.

What if TCU goes undefeated? Every preseason ranking has them in the top 20 or top 25. They play a top 25 team in Texas Tech, and a team everyone is real high on: Utah. What if Louisville stumbles a little bit by the time they play WVU? Who did WVU beat, then? Maryland? They'll be lucky to win 5 games. You are only as good as your competition, is what I am trying to say.
