NCAA BASKETBALL HAS ARRIVED

Post by ham55 »

Who appears to be the front runners to make it all the way to the final 4 and beyond?

My First guess would have to be my favorite,Duke University Blue Devils.

I can also see a healthy UNC team causing alot of noise this year not only in the ACC but in the National ranks as well, as much as i hate to say it.

What are everybody elses thoughts?

I think the Jayhawks of Kansas were left out of the poll. They will be serious contenders this year.

I like the preseason #7 Tarheels. If you follow college ball you know that last year after Doherty's second consecutive season of missing the NCAA tourny he was forced to resign and coaching legend Roy Williams was hired away from Kansas. He should be able to turn the team around big time and teach an already young team how to win. Returning 3 starters, all sophmores, in pg Felton, sg McCants, and the center May (who was injured with a broken foot for over half of last season). Add to that likely starters of junior forward Jawad Williams and junior gaurd Jackie Manuel and I think you have all the makings of a great all around basketball team.

To be serious, I think UConn has the best chance. Emeka Okeafor(sp?) and Ben Gordon are 2 guys that cannot be stopped. UNC is the other team that I like with Felton, McCants and May.
