Im going to go with McCourt....i believe they are stronger in the end and im not much of a Johnstown fan to begin with....not that that means anything

Mccort will definatly come out on top this week. Although Johnstowns rushing attack is strong lead by Reed, the defense front consisting of Chris Kawchak, Wayne Jones, John Paros, and Mike cruz will dominate in this one. Crushers by 14.

I was able to watch Johnstown play Carroll last week for my first LHAC game of the year. Johnstown is fast at skill positions, but small up front. The ussual Johnstown game plan is to get the perimiter and use their speed, due to their small size. In the game last week Jtown was sloppy with the football and put it on the ground a few times. Coach Salem will ground and pound looking to keep the undersized Jtown D on the feild. Jtown with equal speed on D will blitz and blitz. Salem will use Lewis and Barbin to control the ball and eat clock. I think that IF the Crusher D is able to eliminate the big plays of Johnstown they will win. However as a member of the Crusher team from last year. If you let Jtown stick around the Crushers will have to play all 4 quarters. The Crusher dline must keep contain and force the ball backinside if the big four can do this. Lewis and the other linebackers will have a good nite. But again its a rivalry game so anything can happen.

I thnk mccort is going to dominate this game....jhs matches up speed wise very well with mccort and vica versa but jhs has no match for mccorts size...listen for "mike cruz" and "wayne jones" alot on friday...i dont think johnstown has an answer on offense...i think jtown is outmatched....

No Defense in the confrence/D6 AA can contain all 6 of those skilled players........especially with Kawchak and Jones and Paros anchoring the O-Line the Crushers keep rolling and take the "City Championship".........and down the road without any real chokes(Central and Cambria Heights) the crushers will take the LHAC

Is anyone other than me surprised how well mccort is playing this year? After losing 4 starting linemen and a bunch of 2nd stringers, 2 starting wrs and a couple great hands wrs, and their qb...i mean losing 25 seniors (9 playing in college somewhere) and AW...i thought mccort would be a .600 team (6-4)....

Johnstown is going to find out how good they really are in the next few weeks with McCort(5-1), FH(5-1)Bedford(4-2) and Tyrone(6-0). They would be very lucky to come out of this 2-2. I pick McCort 34-14.

The OG isn't surprised at how well McCort is doing this year. In fact, if the Crushers hadn't committed 6 turnovers in week 1, they'd be undefeated this year.

In fact, if I may quote myself from my season preview:

"Talent, talent, talent….more talent than you can shake a stick at…that’s what the Crushers’ possess in 06. Bishop McCort has the luxury of having the BEST 1-2 combo in the backfield in Scott Lewis (OG’s Preseason Player of the Year) and Brad Barbin. Both of these backs may rush for 1,000 each in 06. In 05 they both had almost identical stats with Lewis racking up 638 on the ground and scoring 54 points and Barbin rushing for 624 yards while scoring 54 points as well. Both of these backs are very dangerous out of the backfield as well, which is something I’d expect Kenny to get back to (throwing to his backfield) in 06. These two guys will also be studs on the Defensive side of the ball (both linebackers) making it very difficult for teams to run the ball.

If I sat here and talked about all of the good players McCort has returning…I could write until next Thursday….so lets just skip to where they must piece it together…that is the line. Jordan Defrances will be FINE at QB (probably better at this position than last year), If McCort can find a few tough lineman on both sides of the ball…the Crusher SHOULD be playing into December this year. Mr. Salem….the OG says THIS IS YOUR YEAR TO SHINE BIG BOY!!!! Yes, the Crushers chuck the “No LHAC title" monkeys off their backs this year…10-0 baby! "

If they Crushers run the table, which they should, they will indeed win the LHAC.

There are only two teams (barring a boat load of turnover like week 1) that can compete with the Crushers in D6 AA. They are: Forest Hills and Tyrone.

Now, I haven't seen Tyrone play this year, but I am suspecting them to be about as good as they were last year. The MAC conference isn't was it was a few years ago, therefore don't be scared of the scores the Eagles are posting week after week. There are more than 2 LHAC teams that should be able to compete with Tyrone.

Forest Hills can play with the Crushers, but they will have to play a flawless game to beat them. FH hasn't played up to their ability since week 3 and the Rangers still are having MAJOR issues in their secondary. This is an area that needs to be addressed if FH is going to have any chance to beat the Crushers.

This is a huge week for all 4 of the LHAC powers this year (PC, BM, FH, and JTown). We should find out who the real men are after this week.
