Ridge over Bedford 15 - 13

Post by hockey_nut »

well I listened to the end of this game on the radio after I got home from work. Sounded like a great ending. Bedford scored with about 1:50 to go. AT that point Ridge must have gotten a 2 point conversion earlier in the game because the score was 15 - 13 Ridge. Bedford didn't get the 2 point. Kicked to ridge. Ridge did 3 plays and kicked back to bedford. But Bedford didn't do anything in the last 50 seconds. Game over.

Ridge wins 15 - 13. Congrats to Ridge. Its the first time in 20 tries that they won against bedford.

I am not from either school nor do I cheer for either but I was rooting for Ridge as I assumed they were the underdog. sounds like it was a hard fought game. wonder if Ridge can knock off Tyrone next week! That would be something.

Now Before Ridge fans come on here and start spouting off about how nobody gave you a chance, listen here.

The talk all week long was about how Ridge had the athletes to compete in this game. It was the mindset and the coaches that would keep them in it or lose it for them.

Ridge played a good ball game on O and D. They found something that worked and stuck with it. Something I wish Bedford would do more often. They outcoached Bedford and the players didn't roll over like they have in the past. Congrats tonight on the win. But your season's not over like they acted tonight. They've gotta go to Tyrone and Bedford has to go to McCort for the games that really matter.

No excuses, enjoy it. Show some class, don't be clASSless

The kids played hard on both teams. Seemed like the Bedford turnover near the goal was the turning point. And Ham's right, Ridge outcoached Bedford = that was the deciding factor.

parade in fishertown on saturday!!!! woohoo, the almighty bisons lost to ridge, shut the county down, declare a holiday, all members of the ridge football team are permanently excused from class for the rest of the school year!

I can't wait to hear about how great of a football program ridge has after this meaningless, doesn't count towards playoffs 10th game victory. congratulations you beat bedford, and it only took you about 30 years, thats something to be proud of! of course we can all just forget about the playoffs next week becuase we all know that the only thing that matters to ridgeites is beating bedford. yay team!

I guess we all cant be good sports when we lose but I do believe that know that Ridge has beaten Bedford in Football that is a 2nd thing that Ridge has taken from Bedford this (Wrestling already included) The smell of VICTORY!!! I just wish that they would put this game in about 3 years ago!!!

The book says play for the tie, and if you lose in OT it's bad luck.
But play for the victory in regulation and lose? You're a bad coach

Ham pleads for a show of class...so let's make it noted, that the one to show absolutely no class, is that famed Bedford Alum, now serving our country...and a rough and tough soccer star from the past...Let's chant..Gun---ner!, Gun---ner!.
I applaud the Bedford board for the decision to have their teams in the LHAC. It paid off big dividends this fall with their six win season and ranking in the upper half of this year's football standings. A year in the ICC Nittany, would have been a next to last place finish and a 1-4, Division record. (I guess they could have beat Mt. Union to avoid the cellar and lost to the same division foes Ridge lost to.)

P. S. I don't truly believe that the Bison Blue would have lost to BG and Penns Valley but the last post was definitely fun to make and say.
