Coach Nevins vs Coach Forshey

Post by Beerbelly351 »

Do any of you out there think that there will be a big drop off from Coach Nevins to Coach Forshey in the Central program. I know that Coach Forshey had been around the program for a long time but Coach Nevins was a fantastic coach. He also interacted grate with the young men that played for him for so many years. It will be a very hard job to replace Coach Nevins. Do you think they have done that????

I think that it is going to be tuff to replace coach nevins.. he is a great coach and really knows the game.. But I dont think that coach forshey is going to have it as hard as a new coach stepping in not knowing anyone because he played for coach nevins, coached with him for many years, and knows what the guys can and cannot do..

Very true Speedy. I don't think it will be a very tough transition. Nobody wanted ReggieBall to end, but it had to some time and with Nevins' daughter now playing for Central, this was the proper year to step down. Coach Forshey played for, and has coached under Nevins for many years now. He knows the system as well as anyone. He has also coached this year's Senior Class in previous years at the JV level and knows how they play. And, with this years team looking the way it does, I believe it will work fine.

Actually S Cube, I was thinking the same thing myself. The only difference was that Forshey didn't say much to the refs. But in a blow-out like that, i guess you wouldn't need to.
He's on a roll.

Did Reggie make it to the game to watch? After the Girls' game at Wburg I imagine he could have got there for a big portion of the game.

Yes, Reggie did make it for a majority of the game. The entire Lady Dragon BBall team came and supported the guys.

Forshey from what I heard made basketball preseason very tough for the kids, and it showed last night in their intensity. He will be just fine :cheesy:
