In case anyone cares...Somerset's V. Coleman Tourney

Post by brlnsoccerchick19 »

In the first game, Berlin's girls handed Mount Pleasant a thrashing.

Game two featured Shanksville's guys against Ligonier. Shanksville seemed to have it together until a scoreless third quarter, and fell apart from there. Had it not been for the 3rd frame, they should have easily won the matchup.

The second girls game had host Somerset against Meyersdale. Somerset walked away with an easily earned victory.

The night cap had Somerset's guys versus Berlin. The Mountaineers came away with the 'W,' avenging a loss to the Golden Eagles from last year at the same tournament. Somerset's ONLY win of the season. Gotta give them credit though...they played tough tonight.

Tomorrow has Meyersdale vs. Mount Pleasant in the early consolation game, followed by Somerset vs. Shanksville. The first championship game features Berlin's Lady Mountaineers against Somerset and Berlin's boys against Ligonier in the late championship matchup.

Ligonier Valley Boys won the final game of the Tournament, by about 20. Adam Stinogle from Ligonier was Tournament MVP, with JM Snoderly from Ligonier also making the Tournament Team.
