Aliquippa's Pope to play in Chicago Roundball.........................

Aliquippa basketball star Herb Pope has been selected to play in one of the most prestigious high school all-star games in the country.
Pope, a 6-foot-9 senior forward and a New Mexico State recruit, will play in Sonny Vaccaro's Roundball Classic April 3 at the United Center in Chicago. The game features many of the top high school players in the country, including guard O.J. Mayo of Huntington, W.Va., (Southern California recruit) and center Kevin Love of Lake Oswego, Ore., (UCLA recruit).
Vaccaro's game is the old Dapper Dan Roundball Classic, which was played at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh from 1965-'91. Vaccaro has also staged the game in Auburn Hills, Mich., Raleigh, N.C., and Northwestern University. It has been played at the United Center since 2002.
Schenley forfeits win.....................................
Add another loss to Schenley's record. The Spartans recently forfeited a December win against Decatur Eisenhower (Ill.) because of the use of an ineligible player. The player received two technical fouls and was thrown out of the previous game, which made him ineligible for the Eisenhower contest.
Schenley's record is now 24-3.
