Is this the year the CURSE is broken?

Post by Opinionguy »

Forest Hills hasn't lost to Central Cambria since 1995...including playoffs, I believe it is something like 14 straight wins for FH over the Devils.

However, the Rangers seem to be sputtering while the Devils are rolling. Is this the year Central Cambria breaks the Curse of the Great Buzzbino?

As a Ranger fan...I don't think I've been this nervous since Persio was running the ball for the Devils. Should be a good one in Sidman Friday night.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

I'll help you decide............Go to the Somerset/Richland game. It will be the best. CC will run all over the Rangers and WH is going to BLAST the Crushers.

From what ive seen of westmont they have a decent running game and a passing game which consists of throwing it to khuri...they cant put up big numbers and they wont..The question here will b which mccort linemen are going to come to play a physical game for 4 quarters? Im taking the Crushers in this one.

I havent seen CC play this year, all i have heard was they they got a solid running game with a good group of linemen. I think CC will b able to control the line of scrimmage all night and break the "CURSE" against FH in a great friday night football game.

Game of the Week
WIll be somerset vs richland with both sides featuring QBs that know how to play the game. Kaufman is a very smart QB (calling most of the plays from under center) with Pecora being a dual threat. The line on both sides has been impressive. Look for somerset to pressure Pecora into INTs...theyre not gunna sit back and try and cover...shootout in richland leads to SOMERSET in the win 100-99

I look for CC to be able to run the ball against the rangers and take this one by a score of 28-14.

McCort and Westmont will be a good game, but when was the last time westy was close to mccort 01'? and when was the last time mccort has lost 2 straight 03' after hawkins injury so I look for mccort to break out here. BTW wadley had a 99 yard run against richland JV can anyone say superstar in the making? Look for her to have an impact against the toppers. DeFrances throws for 150+ and the crushers rush for 200+. Also look for matty varga to find the endzone at least twice.

As for the rams and eagles somerset had a breakout game against J-town, but richland also threw for 350 against them. If richland is able to not beat themselves by INTs and high snaps I look for bailey junior to follow the bailey senior model for beating them (Glessner threw for 300 against them). I really have not looked at the tread as of this year, but I'm sure that mccort playing FH first game and having a good amount of success in the second have greatly helped brandon and the rams. Add in a veteran QB with better recievers and i wouldnt bet against them...

I like my chances with Matt Varga on Nick Khuri he might be giving up 6-7 inches but still Varga is a playmaker and has 5 Ints he just has a kanck for the ball

and i definatley like Caperelli against the run game Merriman will get his plays but Caperelli will be making tackles all over the field

As for when McCort has the ball Matt Varga is a mismatch for any corner and if we get Isa the ball some more

But dont forget about Eric Lowry as of last Thursday's edition of the Tribune He was the only player in the top ranking for Rushing Recieving and Scoring he is also a big time threat

Somerset-Richland over-under 80? i'm taking over

When was the last time Richland was close to McCort? Little seems to be predictable this season. That's not a bad thing.

 I take my prediction back. Just watched the WH-BC game on TV last night. WH looks very UNDISCIPLINED, makes toooooooo many mistakes, and was lucky to lose that game by a point. That said I'm taking the CRUSHERS going away.

The turnovers, penalties and broken tackles are frustrating. With two very good backs in Merriman and Bennet, a 6'6" receiver in Khuri , a 6'5" 250lb tight end in Mike Valcheff and a big line there is far more potential than just six points in one game. This Friday would be a great time to iron everything out.

i too watched the game and i thought i would see something more.....WH only ran 4 plays on offense

It was either a little run to Bennett up the middle for 3 yards
Merriman off tackle for for 5
and lob it up to Khuri and hope for the best?
and 2 times in the 2nd they pitched it out to Keklak for some nice yardage but then didnt use it the rest of the game

They are very predictable and get a lot of penalties and Ketchum one of their bigger players will not be playing this week
and with their size they lack speed I think it would be a fair assessment to say Wadley Varga and Lowry will be the 3 fastest players on the field at all times
