Tyrone The Best Underdog Team Around

Post by Guest »

The Golden Eagles of Tyrone are probably the best team in d-6 despite the fact of losing big playmaker Brady Hoover. Led by Nick Cushion and Leonard Wilson the Eagles will be a big time team by the time that the playoffs role around

Have you seen CC, J-town, Lewistown or Indian Valley play?

I saw jtown the other night play against centrals guys... central as winning the practically the whole game, but couldnt come out with the win... Jtown was good, but not as good as I thought they were going to be.. They didnt hit much from the outside.. But got lucky and banked in a 3, and a one-and-one foulshot.. Which gave them 5 points from luck.. They also missed a one-and-one near the end of the game, but got an offencive rebound and got fouled and missed both foul shots.. They aren't a very good foul shooting team other than the big freshman they have.. It was a good game though, but they still sort of looked like they were playing football.. I'd say that they are going to get ALOT better though as the season goes on.. Central guys really played well though, and without their best big guy(Patterson)

Tyrone beat probably one of the best d-6 schools the onther night when they beat IV so yeah i have seen IV play and obviously so has Tyrone and despite missing 14 foulshots Tyrone still walked away with a win.

Pretty bold prediction. Sounds like what was said last year when the team was 5x better than they are this year. Mertiff and Hoover couldn't take them out of districts, so what makes you think this year's team will go?

I think that these boys have a lot more heart than the team last year. Despite Hoover being an outstanding player he was holding them back with his attiude. I just feel something special for this team.
