Is there a better coach in college football than Jim Tressel? In 21 years of coaching at the 1-A and 1-AA levels, he has guided his team to the championship 9 times. That is extraordinary. The Buckeyes have made the championship each of the past two years despite huge personnel losses - (Hawk, Carpenter, Whitner, Holmes to name a few last year ) and (T. Smith, Pittman, Ginn, Gonzalez, A. Smith, Pitcock this year). Other than last year's Florida game, his teams do not have huge letdown games and are usually very prepared for big games. Not only that, but he did not take over a great OSU team. The team was 14-10 in the two years before he arrived and 7-5 his first year. He has turned an underachieving team in the 90's into one of the two best programs in this decade (along with USC).
