Dismal Dolphins

Post by southpaw »

I've been a big phins fan for over 20 years! I'm sick and tired of the teams performance the last few years at the end of the season. They just pack it in in December. Yesterday was like a bad dream!

Wandstadt and Norv Turner gotta go. The offense is horrible. They have the best back in the league hands down. (Priest Holmes is good but he runs behind the second best O-line in football, he rode the pine in Baltimore!) Ricky is the man but has absolutely no blocking up front no fullback (Conrad is a puss!) and no TE or receiver blocking, pitiful that Ricky can only get 68 yards on 25 carries!

By the way Clinton Portis runs behind the best O-line in football!

The line makes a good back great 99% of the time!

Ricky ran well last year in cold weather. They just didn't upgrade the
o-line and get a decent QB.

Ricky is the best running back in the NFL. I do think they need a new coach and they have a similar problem the Steelers have no line and need a new quaterback. A team's talent is based on the talent of the offensive and deffensive line. If the offensive line doesn't block The running backs cant run and the quarterback cant throw and gets hit hard alot. A quaterback can only take so many hits and soon if your line doesnt block you will have a 5th string QB in. On deffense in the D-line just falls over and lets the O-line get blockers on the linebackers a team can run on you all day.

Ricky cant do it alone. The D needs to step up big time.

The Dolphins defense has one of the lowest points per game average among the league.

Like baseball teams go to warm weather for spring training, maybe the phins should go to like alaska for their training camp?

Since were talking about Ricky, I watched an old Texas and Nebraska game on ESPN Classic last week. I had forgot that Texas had Ricky and Priest Holmes in the same backfield that year! One heck of a pair of backs!

Imagine if 1 NFL team had both of em and ran a formation like wishbone and had both on the field at once.
